    WNBA franchise question

I am now in my 4th season in my WNBA franchise and I noticed an issue with the CPU teams rosters. They seem to value rookies more then veteran players. I noticed a ton of very good players that are free agents, including Napheesa Collier, who is an 87 overall. There are a bunch of players in the high 70’s and low 80’s that were not signed by any teams. The CPU teams would rather keep players they drafted that are in the 60’s overall. It got so bad, that the LA Sparks only have one current WNBA player on there roster, the rest of the players are CPU generated from the last three drafts. Is there a slider I can use to attempt to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: WNBA franchise question

Very good questions to ask, and I'd like to know the answer as well.

Just to piggyback, before I start my WNBA franchise, anyone know if there is a ALL STAR GAME and a mid season tourney/commissioner's cup in franchise?
Games I'm playing FOREVER: NFL2K5, That is all.

There is no all star game or commissioners cup in WNBA franchise.

it's gotta be how the low salary cap is set up. Downloaded an updated WNBA roster (don't know if salaries are accurate) and Liz Cambage has a salary of 896k on the Sparks and on her salary page they call her a "bad contract player who eats cap space" even though she's the highest rated player on the team. And it's weird because the Ogwumike sisters are only at like 100k or something. And all the low rated players on the roster are considered "core" players but Cambage is "cap space?" I can definitely see that becoming a problem. They even say in WNBA commentary that teams have to trade good role players because they can't afford to pay them AND their stars, although I guess 2K values the lower paid role players over the stars at all

but seeing how 2K can be slow to respond to NBA franchise issues I would expect nothing on the WNBA side
