    MLB 21 on sale

I've been playing 20 exclusively. Outside stadium creator not sure what would be different. I've seen some bad reviews as well. Is it worth getting or just waiting on 22?

I'd wait. I love 21 but 22 is literally only a few weeks away from release. Just my opinion though [emoji3526]

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I've got 21 on PS4. As far as I know, none of the new MLB rules will be implemented into MLB22. So, given how great the community in the vault is for making rosters (often better than Sony's rosters) and given that I only play offline Single Seasons, I can't see any reason to own the newer game other than maybe to get the Cleveland Guardians as a team. The new commentary isn't enough of a draw for me. The game is fine in 21 as is and none of the new features would in any way affect the way I play the game. So, some things to consider if you play like I do in any way.

I also skipped 21 but i'm considering 22 simply because i have ps5 and want a next gen game. I refreshed my sports library with Fifa 22, Madden 22, NHL 22, NBA 22 and so it's obvious for baseball, what i want.

I'd wait til 23 then. 22, graphically, looks like 21 and I purchased it because I wanted next gen baseball. 21, besides the stadiums, didn't feel or look much different than 20 IMO.

MLB The Show won't be a true "next gen" game for at least 2 years, if ever.

Yes, if ever (on the PS5 / Xbox equivalent).
Next year will be year 3 of a typical 7 year console generation. We already know that no major changes can take place until support for old gen discontinues. We also know that compared to other studios that The show has a relatively small dev team. We also know that the majority of their focus is profiting from online DLC / DD. We also know that there hasn't been any significant changes to the core game in a long, long time. We also know that it took multiple years for the stadium creator and the audio overall to take place. There is a 50 mile long list of things that need updating for The Show to be considered a true next gen game, and I personally don't think they can pull it off before the next gen of consoles come out. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but them is the facts.

Can agree with your explanation in next post you wrote. Maybe, the biggest difference with 22 will be 60 fps on ps5?? Worth buying??
