    Biggest Franchise Accomplishments and Disappointments

What’s your biggest ever accomplishments and disappointments in a given iteration of your franchise modes? Any long dynasties? Any 1 seeds notoriously disappointing?

I’m Madden 18, I had a Steelers franchise where I won 3 straight Super Bowls to end Big Ben’s career. In Madden 22, my 15-2 2024 Bills squad lost in the divisional round to the 5th-seeded Jets despite home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

I never play playoff games if my team makes it. To me, it makes the team earn it. I also sim weird, for example if my team wins a game I play the next game. If my team loses, i sim until they win. Kind of keep the hot streak if I can, and make them earn a win after a loss. It leads to interesting records both good and bad.

With that said, this past year in 22 I had the Broncos go 14-2 in the year 2024 and of course won the division. First playoff game against a 9-7 Chargers, BOOM got knocked out 17-16. Couldn't believe it

Success: I put together the Heat's big 3, in Miami at that, in NBA 2K7. 78-4 the first season. Point differential in like the mid-20's. 4 losses for a combined total of like 9 points. Swept thru the playoffs. I just thought it was cool they did the same thing in real life a few years later.

Failure: I've blown many a game 7 and ruined quite a few rosters, but my worst moment was 100% getting fired in Madden THIS YEAR. Simply couldn't get the falcons going. Lost like 10-12 one-score games over 3 years. Didn't see a 4th. Had *young* playoff talent and everything. Like I earned it smh lol

I like this idea of simming to create more realism, or at least forcing the team building. I really enjoy playing full games, but have been trying to find a difficulty to keep me engaged. The last madden that I really felt I would earn games when playing full was Madden 16 playing with the browns. But anyways, one system I have used is using the play the moments, and limiting how frequently I play the moments. This at least let's me have some influence but the majority of the sim stats, and outcome is from the CPU.

Don't judge me for this one lol. Back in Madden 25 on Xbox 360 I had a goal to get someone on my team to be #1 in every record stat for every position for Game/Season/Career... it took forever and I cheesed a lot of 4 Verts, but I eventually got them all. It felt good back then. Can't imagine playing the game that way now.

A recent thing I'm proud of is doing an all-sim franchise with the Jets the past few days in M22 on XSX. I wrote some longer posts over on the franchise thread, but I did a true start to right now and in 2027 I won my first Super Bowl. Won another in 2029 (last night). It's tough watching the team make dumb plays in the playoffs in slow super sim to lose games, but it feels like a real team building challenge to build a roster and make them win it on their own. Getting that first Championship after coming so close before that felt insanely rewarding. Now I've gotta do it again with salary cap restraints after paying my QB and that'll be it's own fun challenge.

In M20 I wanted to give Oakland one final good year before they moved to Las Vegas. I was a running team and I had Darren Waller at tight end, but that was it. Season started off pretty strong, but just like in real life Tyrell Williams kept getting hurt and ended up on IR and that killed my passing game. I was 4-2 then 5-7. Ended up winning 4 in a row to get to 9-7 during which I had a historic performance from DeAndre Washington who rushed for 259 yards against the Chargers after Josh Jacobs got hurt for 3 weeks at the end of the year. Still missed the playoffs to the Bills who won their division at 8-8. I was pissed about that. Felt like I let Oakland down a 2nd time.

Play the moments franchises are a lot of fun. I use the Bils mainly for a normal CFM but like rebuilding teams via PTM

One of my favorite Success/failure moments in one was I think madden 17 or 18. Playing as Dallas vs Cincinnati Bengals and I played horrible and ended up with multiple turnovers and getting down big early. In the process of trying to throw myself back into the game I broke the single game reception record with Jason Witten. On the record breaking catch Witten fumbled and basically ended the game for us and it seemed like a perfect end to the game honestly.
