Another year of stretching the hot takes, narratives and memes out for 2 days between 6 of these 7 games. I wonder how dramatic it will get. If Warriors lose Game 1 Curry's legacy is in doubt. If they make it 1-1 after 2, Boston is on the brink of destruction and it's time to blow that team up. Etc.

Boston was the best team defending the three over the course of the year. So I'm thinking some of that carries over and Boston's length will really bother the Dubs

Having to get shots up over Smart, Jaylen, Tatum, Horford, and Rob is a lot different than they've had to deal with all post season

And I feel like they don't have that shot maker like Miami, Bucks and Celtics do that can get a quality shot when the "system" fails, or when they aren't getting out on the break and have to work a half court offense

        Should be interesting.

I'm pretty psyched. This was my No. 1 preferred matchup heading into the postseason. I'll be pulling for the Warriors but I guess I won't be too incredibly broken up in Boston takes it, too.

As an aside, one thing that came to mind watching Game 7 last night: It has been amazing to watch basketball where:

          1. There haven't been 47 instant replays in the final minute

          2. There's been very few instances of shooters utilizing the kamikaze lean into a defender

          3. There's been barely any rip-through fouls

There's other aspects that can be cleaned up (just as there always will be) but it's been so nice to have that stuff muted. Here's hoping it stays that way. I'll even say the incidental contact reviews lately have gone somewhat quickly from time to time.

Like pretty much any series I just wanna see 7 games. I’m not expecting more than 5 from this one though.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Dubs for the dub! Would love to be proven wrong as 7 games would be great, I just don’t see it.

We seriously cannot have the Celtics win this. Say what you want about the Warriors, but if the Celtics win we will never hear the end of it. The Warriors are always just a bad season away from being ignored forever. When Boston wins a ring it is treated as if they won 3. They'll already have a 30 for 30 on production on it.

Anyone need random plays from the regular season games?

Huge difference between the teams from back then.

For me it all comes down to Curry. Will he finally step up when it matters most? In the Finals. He has to play better. He has to step up. Or will he fade away again?

Curry lost the 2015 Finals MVP to Iggy. And I don't care about PPG, if Iggy doesn't lock up LeBron the Cavs win that series.

Curry scored 17 points in Game 7 at HOME in 2016. 17 points at HOME. Hit the side of the backboard on one of his 3 point attempts. Threw the ball behind his back out of bounds...unforced turnover extraordinaire. Huge EPIC meltdown Blown 3-1 lead (LeBron probably still sends Curry thank you cards every year at Finals time). I don't care if Draymond got suspended. Draymond was not a lottery pick. Draymond is not the first unanimous MVP (no not Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Kobe, etc). Draymond is not the 3-point King. Draymond is not the "baby faced assassin." Draymond is not the "best shooter ever." It's basketball. It's shooting. How can you be the best shooter ever and not be the best shooter in a Finals??? How can you at least not be the best shooter in just one game after going up 3-1? Can you not get me one game? Not One game?

Durant to the rescue for the next 2 years and wins 2 Finals MVPs. No further elaboration needed.

Curry could not get 1 home game in the 2019 Finals. Not even 1. And down by 1 with 10 seconds to go (Game 6) Kerr drew up a Hero-ball 3 pointer for him and he bricked it. A simple layup would have won the game. Just...genius. Light years ahead. Not.

Now here we are again. For Boston you've got the DPOY at the PG position. You've got the #1 ranked defense in the regular season (#2 in these playoffs). You have length at the wings and size in the frontcourt.

Defensively, the Celts are at their best when their opponents' offense is dictated by a single ball-dominant iso-ball offensive player. That allows the Celtics to stay connected and "build a wall" (like they could against Jimmy and Giannis). However, the "build a wall" concept is not applicable to how GS plays offense. More than that, the Celts can't afford to double and triple team Curry like they did with Durant because GS has too many weapons to just leave wide open. This means Curry will have many, many, many opportunities to score. So NO EXCUSES. No excuses.

So again, will Curry finally step up in a Finals? Or will Klay or Poole or Wiggins be left with the task of trying to earn the Finals MVP? If Curry steps up, Dubs win. If he fails again, then who knows who will win. Who knows...
