I was able to get the franchise working in 12. Like you said, the teams had to be paired down a lot. I both did it manually and also let the cpu cut players until I no longer got freezes at the match-up screen. So I'm able to play franchise games now. I still can't get the roster to import in 13 when starting a franchise. I'm trying to pair it down also, but still no luck. It might just not be possible with 13 being the franchise is built differently. I can't even open a franchise file using default rosters in MXBE or MRE12.
