Huge win for the Mets and Scherzer looked great for the second start in a row. No matter what happens the rest of the series they still be in first place now.

Clay Holmes was an abomination in the 9th there and I’m more upset at IKF blowing yet another play he could’ve made. It’s like once a week at this point.

I want IKF and Gallo gone by the trade deadline. We look pretty damn great. But those positions need beefed up.

IKF doesn't even have a single home run. Gallo can't hit his weight. I don't see any reason to keep either.

11-9 in our last 20, starting to look real average. At least it should force Cashman to do something but I also wouldn’t be surprised to hear “Zack Britton coming back is basically like making a move for us” from him either smh.

Well Britton and Loiasaga coming back will be a boost to the pen. I'm kind of interested in the Bryan Reynolds guy for Pittsburgh. Another switch hitter. I love the balance the lineup has. That would bring even more balance

Taillon is making me a little nervous. But I'm not sure I should overreact in July either. But we might need another starter too. We have to go all in. That's all I know.

Not sure what I'd expect him to say, but the Angels GM getting quoted as saying there's definitely a formula to win around his star players Trout and Ohtani is the ultimate "duh." The problem is why the Angels front office has been so inept throughout several GMs despite having those studs to build around. Perry Minasian doesn't strike me as the brightest crayon in the box and I don't expect him to last much longer there.

Cardinals made it interesting until the end but held on for the win

The entire AL East (yes, even Baltimore) is .500 or better!

If I'm the Padres, I'm framing that dollar just because.

Teams knew this going into the year. Don't hope for law changes, hope for your guys to change things. Don't be like Phillies who are in "blame Canada" mode for why this is happening.

This is a stretch the Jays badly need to take advantage of. 5 games before the break, new manager, opponents are down some guys, you could quickly turn things around and get back to near the 10+ games above .500 mark.

Merrifield with interesting comments regarding sitting out the Jays series.

He said the only way he'd consider getting vaccinated is if he happens to be on a team who will be playing in Toronto in the postseason.

Don't tell me his value will be low, Yankees or Rays get him cheap, he gets vaccinated, then plays the Jays in October.
