Wrote this in the other thread, but the ratings snapshot on the right side of the scouting screen wasn't in the beta but it looks really nice. Wish they could add 40 times to that section, but that's a huge improvement. Looks to be position specific ratings too.

I love all the new stuff for franchise.. hopefully it isn't buggy on release. It was too easy to sign players in the beta, even when they didn't have interest in staying.

Are you sure that wasn't in the beta? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that. Either way I like it too.

They mentioned overall Immersion updates on a bulleted page but didn't mention anything.

I also wonder how the tags for FA will work. Will a players tags change throughout his career? Is it random every franchise or will the same players always have the same tags throughout their career. Say for example JeMarr Chase. Will early on he will have a focus of money then later player for a Super Bowl Contender. What if he wins 3 Super Bowls early, will his motive later on change to Money or something else.

Also if the Texans become a power house in year 3 will FA view them as a Super Bowl Contender or will they always be considered not going forward.

Also no mention of 6 trade slots in the video, unless I missed it.

It all looks promising. But let’s see if it works correctly.

This looks...fine. These gimmicks in free agency tend to be useless (like in MLB the Show when they had players more interested in your team because you had teammates from their country), but maybe these actually work.

We've heard things like, "teams with a young franchise qb won't draft one now" for over a decade and it still happens. So I won't hold my breath.

I'm someone who thought the new scouting system last year was horrible so maybe these improvements help.

Nothing about 6 Trade Slots? That's disappointing. Everything looks good as always, but it comes down to execution and everything working the way they say it will.

Was hoping they say something about updates to Franchise Mode throughout the season, hopefully that is the case. For me, I haven't touched Madden since Madden 20 and if everything works, I'll play Madden 23 for the next couple years.

A couple quality of life things they need to add in the future -

                          1. Making a designation between edge rushing LBs and coverage LBs. You can generally tell from their ratings, but when you get to guys in the later rounds that aren't scouted much it's impossible to know. I don't think any NFL team goes into the draft not knowing if someone is a coverage player or an edge rusher.

                          2. The contract value sliders are locked too low again. Can't go above $30 Mill/season in cap & bonus so the max is 60/yr. QBs are gonna be blowing that away in a few years. Lamar made it to FA and I couldn't offer enough to get him to sign because of that.

I had a different experience, though i didn't test it a ton. Tried to resign McLaurin in DC and he wouldn't accept any contracts because he wanted a winning team and a real QB. Had to franchise tag him.

UI looks good, I just hope its not another year of being the overlay over the old "coach in the office" background.

Tags is an interesting addition, I just hope it works as intended. My favorite is the mentor one.

I like the scouting overhauls, thats what turned me away from Madden rabout 2 weeks after it was released. I appreciated the work-arounds and guides fellow OS'ers put out, just wasnt clear enough for my simple mind to grasp.

Free Agency looks improved, but I wish they had it like NCAA where a player wouldnt even talk to you if you dont fill certain needs. I feel if you threw a bunch of money at a guy if he would still sign anyway. None the less, it adds more immersion, and team that with the limited offers feature, really will make you think about who gets an offer, and whom you hope is available in round 2.

Trades is still up in the air for me. I like the fact they added an instant offer feature, rather than me as a player having to lug through the laggy menus looking for a team that wants him, then plugging picks/players to find the right fit. The make or break is the 6 slots, which I think was a bluff as it was a no show in this video. The sad three slots continues.

Not sure if this year will be for me, or if I go in another direction with NHL 23 full time. Kinda bummed as the Broncos FINALLY have a decent QB. We will see.
