Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
It's an insane upgrade. Madden 20 was my favorite game of all time but I can't play it anymore after playing the next gen games. It's a completely different experience. If you're a serious Madden player you'll love it. You can get the Series S on Amazon or you could find a Series X or PS5 by following the reddit tracking pages for a few days.Comment

Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
Bro do not even buy Madden if you're not getting a Gen 9 version.
(seen it called gen 5 but I think truly it's gen 9)https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
I have been watching videos from Iamthatmatt on YouTube. He has been posting highlights from the beta almost everyday. I am sure EA will probably be pissed he is doing that, but I literally caved and bought the PS5 and pre-ordered madden just because of his videos.
The wide receiver db interactions and 360 cuts alone are such a game changer I just had to have access to these improvements. As one other user said it is literally “light years” ahead of the PS4 build that will be releasedComment

I will continue to sing the praises of run blocking in PS5 / XSX Madden 22. It is authentic, it is actually readable, and it is mostly predictable (yes, even the pulling blockers). I can’t specifically recommend Madden 22 on PS5 because it was rather full of bugs when I played it significantly, but I do specifically want to call out the run blocking for being fantastic. There is literally no comparison between PS4 / XB1 Madden and PS5 / XSX Madden in this area.
I have read a lot of those bugs in M22 have since been cleaned up. Additionally, there was a lot of promising behavior in the Madden 23 beta, specific to pass blocking and WR-DB interactions during route stems. The branching animation system in the Madden 23 beta was also a game-changer speaking to controls responsiveness. If Madden 23 retail successfully adds these things and is cleaned up wrt bugs, then I recommend it over any PS4 / XB1 Madden with zero hesitation.Comment

Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
I got my PS5 through Playstation Direct. I was put on a waiting list, got an e-mail to a day to enter the que then from there, 20-25 minutes later I had bought a PS5 Bundle. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's MUCH easier then chasing "drops".It's an insane upgrade. Madden 20 was my favorite game of all time but I can't play it anymore after playing the next gen games. Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
Honestly Madden alone has not been worth the money.
But a few other games make the system worth it and from my understanding the new College game is only going to be on NG.
I'm more excited for that Football game as opposed to Madden (Interested in seeing what EA can do). So, I'm say yes it's worth it but not specifically for Madden like you asked.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Which is why PC gamers are so mad.I have been watching videos from Iamthatmatt on YouTube. He has been posting highlights from the beta almost everyday. I am sure EA will probably be pissed he is doing that, but I literally caved and bought the PS5 and pre-ordered madden just because of his videos.

I mean, look over at the sideline on Gen 8 consoles and you see lower quality lighting and textures. You take these things for granted, but what an eye sore.
And then the use of NGS to inform player motion, the new field sense stuff, I mean it’s not close. There is no way I could go back to Gen 8.

Re: Upgrade to NextGen??
I can’t remember but I had thought that pulling blockers still lacked situational awareness to adjust to unblocked defenders who run past them.I will continue to sing the praises of run blocking in PS5 / XSX Madden 22. Regardless, Gen 9 vs Gen 8 is night and day. I couldn’t stomach going back.https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image
