So pumped for this. Love the animated art style. Definitely a celebration of N64 wrestling.

Love the animation and wrestler movement, it looks exactly like the old WCW games on N64. So sick of the 2K WWE simulation crap over the past decade or so. Just give me a fun wrestling game like No Mercy or Revenge.

I think this game is going to get delayed. No release date yet and November is not far away but they still say 2022 release.

I was very excited at first but now not so sure anymore

Several rumors going around that have me worried

1- They are pulling more wrestlers then just FTR. Like I thought 50 wrestlers were small amount to begin with now it’s maybe 40

2- strong rumor they are not going to have character creation now. I mean this can’t be true this is huge for any game with wrestling

3- the side games are not needing like wrestlers playing baseball

Please tell me this YouTube channel smack talk or something is way wrong about this stuff

Bringing the trophy back to the Queens in MLB the Show 25.

That is when I stopped taking this game seriously. I was already kinda mad with the graphics looking cartoonish. I mean, you could have No Mercy nostalgia and still present the game as serious and meaningful. But to go the Call of Casual route adding stupid mini-games that bring nothing to wrestling gives me pause. This thing is getting pushed back to '23. And if it doesn't have creation in the year 2022/2023, I'll only consider buying it when its $20.

Yeah I want this game to work so bad. I am so tired of WWE games. I can live with the graphics. I mean I love fire pro wrestling world and graphics wise its nothing really. But I need a good size roster. Not sure why this game had so much hype but is dying a slow death all the sudden

Agreed. This game isn't seeing shelves until 2023 and it does seem to be dying and at the least, stuck in the video game version of development hell.

There are 10 weeks left in 2022; besides the trailer in August and a few playable booths at GameCons in Tokyo and Germany in September...nothing. Nada. Biggest news I heard was that FTR (and possibly others) weren't going to be on the initial roster and that was probably 6 weeks ago now. Haven't some stores even updated to TDB 2023 as the release date?

I'm going admit I'm completely spit balling these next couple of speculations as I have no clue what goes on at a development studio and off of AEW TV. Even then, I'm a casual that will watch Dynamite when I feel like it. So, with that said. Did Tony and co do a little too much PR? Is there some stuff with the game engine that Yukes can't get around? Some sort of legacy issues? I guess I'm trying to say I'm afraid that they promised more than they can deliver and either they're in denial that they can't deliver, or they know it and are just stalling.

I also wonder how much all the supposed backstage drama is affecting this game and its release. They made CM Punk the center of the cover so did they intend for him to be part of the game's focus? Is there some legal baloney going on because of it? The whole FTR fracas?

IDK folks, yeah...will this game ever get released? If so, will it be a flop? The price point is understandable but not at the same time. I expect a game that's tied to a major organization is going to be AAAA priced because of licensing if nothing else, but I also expect something at that price to at least be, idk, modern? A decent representation of what a game looks like on 7-8 gen consoles. We could argue about what's wrong with WWE 2K, Madden et al but that's beside the point.
