Players like Jonathan Taylor, Joey Bosa, Justin Jefferson, Mike Evans, Justin Herbert, Jeffrey Simmons, Antoine Winfield Jr, Kenny Moore, Miles Jack, Tyler Boyd, and ton of other players all rated above 88. Looks like I'll be playing play now online and Ultimate Team. Video is short, less than 4 minutes long. Don't know how many of you care but this seems like a pretty big deal.

Free Agency Broken Already?
I saw Ryan Moody's latest video and a user sent him a video showing that in the 2nd year of their franchise, the cpu had released a TON of high rated players into free agency and did not resign them.

Another thing: often times the online version of Franchise works better than offline.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
I definitely saw Devin Cook, Justin Jefferson and Justin Herbert in free agency in two different online franchises
Also saw Cardinals draft a QB high, even though Murray had the franchise QB tag BUT he did have an ACL injury, so I'm assuming and hoping that's why the drafted him.Comment

If true, try an online setting franchise. Also tho Ryan Moody is a total clown. Sure the game as all games do, has issues… buddy is this obsessed weirdos who 1000% doctors videos up. That awful nerdy voice too 😂Comment

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
This happens every year. I'm really not worried about this. If it's something that you can't wait for a fix on, just go through and add additional years to players contracts. This salary cap stuff always seems to happen because the contract system is still very flawed.Comment

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
Simmed ahead in online and offline franchise...
Most surprising names amongst both sets of FA's were Derwin James, Brady(sort of), Terry McLaurin, David Montgomery, TreMaine Edmunds and LaVonte David.
Beyond that were guys for whom a strong case could be made for why they're available. Overall, nothing remotely close to the insanity of the Moody video.
But that's just my test. Can't speak for others' findings.Comment

This is not okay. Edit - Accepting that it happens every year is the part I feel is not okay.Last edited by Datninja619; 08-16-2022, 10:45 PM.Comment

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
In previous years we had the issue that the AI always resigned players with zero fail rate. Which meant that free agent classes were always super bland with no interesting players which isn't how real free agency works.
Having the new AI bungle the cap so big name prizes end up in free agency is closer to what real world free agency is like.Comment

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
Personally I think they’ll address it in the first patch but also extensions aren’t completed yet. Like Derwin James. I’m pretty certain Chargers will sign him long term and once they do, rosters will be updated accordingly changing the dynamics.
Hopefully I’m right about this.Comment

Re: Free Agency Broken Already?
I'm glad Ryan Moody points out what's wrong with Madden although he goes overboard. He just responds to what he sees and what is given to him. This game has been developed since 1988 by EA and we are in 2022 and it seems to me that giving its history it could be far better than what it is. I've played Madden off and on since 1988 and I would like to think that this game will be far and away the best sports game ever played not just the best selling sports game. Don't get me wrong I will still play Madden because I grew up with it and will wait to buy it when a sale comes along. I just hope players won't bash it too much or over praise it just because its Madden Football.Comment
