At the League's Halfway Mark, Iso Joe is King and Boca Ballers are Undefeated

With the season roughly halfway through, the Boca Ballers are top of the Big3 mountain. Sporting a perfect 10-0 record, the league's Floridian outfit is the team to beat. Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf and Rashard Lewis boast unfathomable three point percentages while Jonathon Simmons anchors the team's defense. And unlike many team's in the league, the Ballers play five men deep with Jamario Moon and Abdoulaye N'Doye seeing significant minutes off the bench.

Meanwhile for the team on the lake, Iso Joe continues to dominate. Joe Johnson was the best player in the Big3 first incarnation and the trend continues in the rebirthed second edition of the league. Johnson is averaging just a shade over thirty points a game and just over nine rebounds. The Toledo Lakers are not the most balanced club in the league, but Johnson is sporting efficiency numbers better than some teams in the league.

Bringing up the rear through the halfway mark are the Phoenix Heaters and the Norfolk Sunshine. The Heaters, led by Gary Payton Sr., lack offensive firepower and have struggled to score. In Southern Virginia, Franklin Session looks like a superstar in the making while Jared Sullinger fails to live up the hype of his signing. The two teams have already played each other twice for the season with Norfolk taking both games by scores of 60-53 and 61-59.

Jason Richardson and Ty Lawson are the other two players gunning for MVP at the season's midpoint. Richardson has been a scoring machine for Pebble Beach but lacks Iso Joe's defensive and rebounding chops. Lawson hasn't had the same scoring numbers as Johnson and Richardson but has high efficiency numbers and assist totals. However, J-Rich and Lawson's stellar years will surely fall short at this pace as Johnson remains the frontrunner for the league's best player of 2022.

OOC: I'm not gonna post every game throughout the seasons in here, it'll be way too big. I'll give a half-season update, full-season update, post-season update. Then awards, draft and free agency moves. Since the focus is on the league more than an individual team, we're gonna lose some minutiae
