I am just starting to play MyGM after reading all these MyGM stories people are posting. How do you control both Smackdown and Raw for your stories? Is there a guide as to what free agents are available each week? It seems like some are added in later weeks. Thanks for any advice or guidance.

You only control one brand in MyGM - maybe whichever posts you're reading are using Universe mode? Or they're just describing what the CPU in MyGM is doing on the other show.
I don't think there's a pattern or strategy to available free agents, it looks completely random to me. Wrestlers just cycle in and out, sometimes on permanent deals, sometimes cheaper for x number of weeks. -

Nah, Universe is its own mode where you have control over just about anything you want. There's no goal to aim for like there is in MyGM, it's just you putting together shows (or just running what gets auto-generated) every week and seeing what happens.Comment

After setting up your character you set everything else up and that is where you can control the other brand
BUT the stories and all you are as said most likely talking about universe mode where you (can) have almost complete control of all things and is where people live out their fantasy booking dreams with whatever rosters they want and whatever shows they wantComment
