Court/color/filter/hue pics of 2K22 vs 2k23
23 definitely seems a bit more washed, but by design? Seems to have a hazy smoky effect like some older 2K’s. Also seems to have a pink hue to it. I dunno what I think yet compared to 22 which I like a lot due to the rich saturation of colors. I wonder if the filter for 23 can be turned off? I have a feeling it’s permanent.

And last batch. Does anyone have a link to 2K23 gameplay on the Bulls court btw? Curious to see how the reds look.Comment

Just looking at that Barclays screenshot brings me to this screenshot of a game from last year. Easily one of the darker courts in the league in terms of surrounding crowd lighting. Kinda bummer on the aesthetic side coming from a Nets fan

So far I’m definitely leaning on liking 22’s courts and colors better. ArghhComment

Don’t want to beat a dead horse, but I took the two pictures and compared them. The difference is actually pretty staggering for a next generation game.D2768715-DDB0-4001-9B0A-C8F1EC62212C.jpeg

Re: Court/color/filter/hue pics of 2K22 vs 2k23
NOOOO THEY WASHED OUT THE BULLS COURT HARDWOOD!!!! I play all Bulls games and ALWAYS appreciate how warm they have the hardwood in 2K22. Not only does it look good and rich but playing that many games, it goes a long way in being easy on my eyes. Whenever I play a road game in an arena with icy white cold hardwood, it’s super jarring.
Def not happy about this.Comment

Re: Court/color/filter/hue pics of 2K22 vs 2k23
The ONLY court that seems to look more accurate so far is the Celtics court. It just so happens to be warm (which seems rare in 23 vs 22) and the real court happens to have that pink ish hue 2K23 has as a standard filter.
But mannnnn I’m really bummed about the Bulls court. I know it sounds crazy but almost enough to be a deal breaker. I’m gonna support the game regardless for their work done on Jordan and era’s, but playing full 82 game seasons staring at an ICY WHITE Bulls court is way too hard on the eyes. I really can’t even explain how much I enjoy playing Bulls home games in 2K22 due to how soothing and warm the floors look compared to some other teams. Also 2K22 Bulls court is WAY more accurate to real life. The real court is much warmer, like 2K22.Comment

I never really judge 2ks graphics off of YouTube videos, especially early footage videos where a few of them looked so washed in comparison that HDR being on has to be the reason, YouTube videos never reflect what I see on my TV. But the lighting has been changed I felt 2k22 went with more of a cool type tint, looks like 2k23 is more of a warm one.Comment

What’s weird is some courts look to have a warmer hue and some a cooler in 2K23. I’m a fan of warmer hues. I dunno what the hardwood on some courts looks white in both games instead of warmer wood color. The Bulls court being a whiter wood now suuucks. It looked perfect in 2K22.Comment

I dunno, cause in terms of court colors I feel like the 2K22 videos look pretty much spot on to the hues on my game.

Weird that it looks like it depends on the arena. The Orlando court looks warmer while others look brighter and more washed out. Not sure if Orlando is more accurate in 22 or 23.
Celtics court also looks a lot better too.
I do like the higher brightness overall the. The 22 Nets picture looks like as shadow is over the court, as if both the crowd lighting and court lighting is dimmed. 23 is the opposite where both the court and crowd lighting is bright. I wonder how it would look if they just dimmed the crowd lighting. The Nets court colors still look off. They've struggled getting that floor correctComment

I really wish 2K23 MyNBA mode (eras or modern) gave us the option to select which era court for each team we want to use. But I’m assuming that ain’t an option.

I’d just waiting until tomorrow and seeing for yourself.
Capture cards tend to wash out colors a bit.Comment
