Sounds like Old Gym is likely gone and replaced with rotating game modes that won’t always be No Squads

I'm truly feel like an old man the way Social media is reacting to this...this mode aint for me but as long as the younger demo loves it and feels heard...all that matters! haha

2K is listening to EVERYONE this year... so excited for tomorrow!

Looks like they listened to a lot of feedback.

          Nice work.

‪The only thing I dislike is it looks like when playing a MyCareer game the presentation will be super watered down again because they just want to focus on your player running out the tunnel and shooting warm up shots. This cuts out a lot of the presentation you see in like a quick game. ‬

I personally won’t spend a second in this mode, but I have to say, being able to walk into the arenas is so dang cool! They really put in WORK for all demographics this year.

Never played this mode, but love the different areas w/ actual castle, craters and jungle like setting. So just wondering, is this city where also you find street / park mode (Blacktop) or is that gone?

I’ll never play this mode but the attention to detail and knowing something so comprehensive is in a game that I play, yet never use this portion of, is mind blowing.

This gets close to what my ultimate dream for 2K is: A mix of MyNBA and city. Basically you can take any player or your choosing, and when not playing games, essentially be able to free roam around the city. Go to arenas, drive to and from the game etc. Basically GTA meets MyNBA. Like an extreme extension of the “practice modes” we have my MyNBA.. but all throughout a virtual city. I hope 2K does that someday.

Yes I’m also worried about this. The lack of presentation really ruined my player for me last year

Agreed, they can just make a generic city thats small. Have a few districts like the upscale suburban neighborhood, a urban neighborhood and a downtown neighborhood. All districts will have distinctive stores with their own parks. We could also be able to choose our apartment in whichever district.

The way the neighborhood is now looks so corny, like a amusement park

I'm happy they reduced the size and added fast-travelling! One of the reasons I stopped playing Mycareer was sometimes having to go across the City to do a small task as part of a quest.

I think I spent more time walking across the City rather than progressing in the story.

Looks like an improvement in that aspect for sure

Loved playing My Career last year but I stopped because of how long it took to go anywhere in the city to advance the story.

So glad they added the fast travel option for that. I’ll hop in and out of park games from time to time. Should be fun to dabble around in again.

After grinding like 3/4 MyPlayers to the penthouse in 2K22, seeing a smaller and more condensed city makes me so happy. I didn’t hate 22’s city but it was a lot to move through especially for someone who only had the skateboard all year. Love the Theater thing too so long as they keep no squad modes in the rotation. Still amazing though, the Block thing looks great, the affiliation courts look phenomenal. Your home team’s arena being in the city adds so much to the immersion for me as just having a practice arena always kinda felt weird. This game has so much more personality and life than any 2K in a long time. Even the Rec looks amazing with the new jersey’s and court set up. RIP to the Old Gym and warehouses, spent a lot of time in those the last 2 years.
