How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Didn’t see a thread and always love reading about everyone’s franchise. I don’t always update but I like to check in from time to time how everyone’s franchise is on MLB and NFL and didn’t see one for NBA so I figured why not make one here.Tags: None -
Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Thanks. I'm planning on starting my main campaign latter (closer to the start of the season with updated rosters). I'll be leading the Hornets.
In the meantime, I'm doing a campaign with the Clippers. I'll be siming the first season and then using player lock with their highest draft pick. I'll keep you posted. -

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Sitting at 1-2 three games into my Kobe era Wizards franchise.
I signed Rafer Alston from free agency.
Imported player DNA for Kwame Brown.
After 3 games I traded Stackhouse+Jared Jeffries to the Rockets for Stevie Franchise.
I'll probably look to make another move closer to the deadline since I have an abundance of point guards.
Currently my starting 5 looks like:
PG Steve Francis
SG Larry Hughes
SF Michael Jordan
PF Christian Laetner
C Etan Thomas
Nets completely bullied me inside so if I do make further deals it will be to beef up my front court.
Looking to get my first post-Francis trade game in today before football startsComment

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Hey guys I am new in this MyNBA Franchise, always a MyC player. Quick question, I would like to be a GM, doing all the dealings, acquiring players, FA and draftings, can I still do these and sim the games? I will play the game via MyC and would like to try MyNBA and just sim the games.Comment

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Need advice, going to play 29 game seasons with one of these teams, all similar play styles but can’t decide which one to pick.
Hawks- Young, Murray and Collins with solid role players
Twolves- Kat, Gobert and Edwards with better role players imo
Grizzlies- Ja, JJ and deep roster are intriguing
Bulls- Demar, Lavine and Ball with decent role players but love the jerseysLA Angels
Dallas Cowboys
Anaheim DucksComment

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
Just finished the first season in the Jordan Era with the Bulls. User controlling all teams but turned injuries off. Simcasting important games, if they're close with 6 mins left I jump in. Playing vs the Knicks in the ECF and it's nuts to see MJ in red @ MSG with the grainy filter...literally got chills. That was one of my favorite series of all-time..
Sidenote, 2K did Gerald Wilkins dirty. It's nice to have him available on a roster but damn, I had to change nearly all of his attributes and he had no dunk packages. Not one. That dude was a freak athlete...Comment

I'm playing in the Jordan era with the Cavs and I'm 2 and 5. Mark Price is leading my team with points. And I moved the Clippers back to San Diego.Comment

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
I started a MyNBA with the 83-84 Celtics. My plan is to just play one game per month and do a whole lot of simming. I want to get through as many seasons as I can while still reliving a small piece of each season. I'm kind of at the mercy of draft class creators so in the first season or two I may play a little more until more draft classes are ready.
I'm trying not to be quite as picky about rosters and draft classes since most of the lower drafted players never worked out anyway so as long as each team has a solid rotation I'm going to roll with it. I'm mostly only going to use one-team control but I want the franchise cornerstone (Top 75ish All-time) type of players to go to their original team. At least as long as it makes sense within my MyNBA. I'm going to make a house rule for that but haven't 100% decided how I want to handle it. So I will control the draft and monitor trades and see how things go from there. I also turned the MYGM rule on so my governor gives me goals and if I get fired then I'll take control of a new team instead.
With all of that said, I'm sure that I will start a modern MyNBA once we get closer to the start of the real season and the rosters are ready. I have enjoyed playing with the retro teams but at the end of the day, I know that once the real season starts I will want to play with those guys instead. Here's to blasting out some old seasons tho

Re: How’s your MyNBA franchise discussion thread
I'm currently doing a player-locked save with the Clippers.
In 22-23, they were eliminated from the playoffs by Luka and the Mavericks who went to win the championship. During the season I traded Batum to the Hawks, and some 2nd round picks for a late first.
With the 19nd pick of the 2023 Draft, the Los Angeles Clippers selected AC House from UCLA. A strong PF, House is a hometown boy (and blonde Californian with a surfer/Kobra Kai swagger). He is really good at cutting to the rim behind the defender and dunking, dunking, dunking. Early on the season, he is already starting above Covington.

PG: Wall, Graham
SG: George, Kennard, Mann,
SF: Leonard, Powell,
PF: House ('23), Covington
C: Zubac, Hammond ('23)Comment
