Minor complaint but to whoever initially posted all the pics if you post more please turn off the “intense” face so we can actually see what the players look like lol.Comment

Another year of not being able to edit the coach appearances. Why was that ever removed.. makes no sense. I’m guessing there isn’t a way to get accurate coaches for All-Time teams?Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I found this video from Gamingwithova showing some of the new faces. I haven’t played since 2k20 I think so I’m really pleased with these. Kudos to everyone involved in these improved faces but I can’t believe there were so many that hadn’t been changed since 2k11! To finally see Divac look good & AC Green! He hasn’t even been close before but he looks great. It’s frustrating though because you wish every player could get upgrades. I’d love a young Jason Kidd. Then again, they’ve got Karl Malone with hair. Can’t be greedy! They’ve done some outstanding work this year.

And oh my god... I never thought this day would come. 2K12 Vinny Del Negro finally met his untimely demise. Was an amazing run.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
This Eras undertaking was so massive that there was no way there wasn't going to be things missing that feel big to us. It's completely understandable that they had to stop somewhere.
So with that in mind, it's worth noting that the late 90's isn't a great time in Eras for court changes. By that I mean that teams like the Pistons, Rockets, Suns, and Cavaliers undergo very drastic brand overhauls (jersey and logos) but their courts do not change. By 1998 they're all still playing on their 1992 courts, which means, as of right now, no teal floor for the Pistons, no rocket ship for Houston, no baby blue for Cleveland, and no Barkley-era sunburst for the Suns.
I know that will likely be upsetting to some folks but again, I don't think you start tackling a mode like this without knowing you're going to have some limitations. It seems a lot of their work understandably gravitated toward the starting years of the mode.
All that said, Vancouver looks amazing.
The trick, for now, may be finding a team that has a distinctive court from the start of the era you're beginning and then transitions into one already in the game. For instance, the 1992 Spurs have their HemisFair court and I bet they should successfully move to the Alamodome court in '93-94 (if they don't, they should, since that court's been in the game for 11 years).
I wonder if 2K has considered the idea of adding a couple more crucial courts via patch throughout the year. We could even luck out if the Pistons (wearing teal in real life this year on throwback nights) roll out a throwback court for those teal nights, as 2K's always been good about adding alternate courts. Could help with the Suns too.Last edited by VDusen04; 09-09-2022, 11:32 PM.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
The Jordan Nets team has real players 9 deep down to Tate George and friggin Roy Hinson.
I'm actually quite impressed. Even the Magic/Bird era Nets team has about 6 players. I'm also quite impressed that they even got the courts close to what they were in those era's as well. I'm sold.HELLO BROOKYLN.

I do have to mention, that I really do like the classic presentation and intentional 'bad' camera's for each era. I feel that might be a contentious point around here though.
I haven't gotten to it yet, but I wonder if I play the kobe era long enough to say no to the Brooklyn move and keep the Nets here.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Rod Strickland is missing on the 91-92 spurs in the jordan era but he is present on the 2003 timberwolves roster in the kobe era. This needs to be rectify in regards to rostersComment

So i'm playing my 90s Jordan era Nets league and I was actually mistaken. the roster has ELEVEN true rotation players on the roster including a second round pick taken in 87 by another team who only played on the Nets less than two years, Doug Lee.
I'm not kidding look him up.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Really pleased and impressed with a lot of the attention that the legends got this year. Probably the best legends content in the entire series. Really great to see players updated that have sorely needed it, like Lambier, Kenny Smith, Vinny Del Negro, and Vlade Divac just to name a few of the many. Also it is pretty impressive that quite a few have multiple player models such as Scottie Pippen having his early 90s high top fade, shorter late 90s cut and his mini fro with goatee look as well. Kareem has Bucks Kareem and three Lakers player models. Drexler has his younger version with more hair and his later early 90s version as well. Malone with hair and a mustache is fantastic for accuracy, and obviously the multiple hair coloring options for Bulls Dennis Rodman are fantastic as well.
The only criticisms/things I hope they address or add in via an update or patch is the following...
-2007 LeBron James has no center NBA logo on his headband which he should have, and has had since 2k11.
- Despite there being multiple player models for multiple legends LeBron James continues to only have 2 real player models in the game, which is the 2007 young LeBron player model with headband and the current Lakers LeBron player model with longer beard and no headband. For the 7th year in a row, despite multiple player models being updated and even much lesser current players receiving multiple player models options available by editing them, LeBron James continues to be represented with 2 player models being used across multiple teams depicting several years. The only player model that is different from the current Lakers LeBron player model is the 2007 Cavaliers LeBron player model and that is correctly obviously used on the 2007 Cavaliers team, however the 2013 Miami Heat team is using just the current Lakers LeBron with a headband, as is the All time Heat, All time Cavaliers, All time Lakers, All Star teams and the 2012 Team USA, the 2016 Cavaliers team is using the current Lakers LeBron player model as well. Even Kyrie Irving his teammate on that Cavaliers team has more player model options, as does his teammate Anthony Davis. The current Lakers LeBron player model should only be used really twice in the game, once for the current Lakers team and secondly for the All Time Lakers. The 2013 Miami Heat LeBron should really have 2 player model options, the first being one very similar to the 2007 Cavaliers model with accurate updated tattoos, as pictured here...
and the second should be his 2012 playoffs and Finals look with the larger headband turned inside out with no logos and the goatee as pictured here...
LeBron James of the Miami Heat reacts during Game Five of the 2012 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder at American Airlines Arena on June 21, 2012 in Miami, Florida.
For the 2016 Cavaliers LeBron James, the current Lakers LeBron player model is fine but his beard should be much shorter as pictured here...
For the 2012 Team USA they could use the same 2013 Heat player model with both the same face and short beard as the 2007 Cavaliers player model with accurate updated tattoos and the second with larger headband with no logos and a goatee both as pictured here...
If multiple legends can have multiple variations than LeBron should have more than 2 player models representing multiple years and teams.
- A older Rockets bald Clyde Drexler for the All Time Rockets
- A rookie Allen Iverson with short hair and less tattoosLast edited by LeBronistheKing; 09-10-2022, 07:29 AM.Comment
