Oh yeah, Curry. I don't have any problem with that top 5. Although, I would personally swap Curry with LeBron. Oh well. [emoji2377]

Like we saw with Giannis recently or in the 2000's, it's extremely difficult to nail down the top whatever players in the NBA. There are so many different skillsets and such a diversity in how the game is played (amongst the high - end players not the league), today.

Top 5 in some order would have to be Giannis, Jokic, Luka, Steph, Embiid.. I don't think that's awful right now looking at 2022.

I hate ranking players like this before we see how they look in terms of health and all that. Because lets be real, there is zero chance guys like Kawhi and AD are that far back unless you're assuming they aren't right.

          But I would probably go:
Giannis, Jokic, Durant, LeBron, Steph, Luka, Embiid, and after those 7 it would get pretty tough IMO.

But that's me saying I get to pick this guy right now to help me win a ring this year while assuming I'll have league average teammates, league average coaches, they're going to be healthy, etc.. Obviously seeing how much guys improve/regress would change that moving into the season.

Embiid and Joker are the easiest 2 to move out of the top 5 IMO. Giannis, Steph and Luka all make sense to me but I'd still take LeBron or KD over either big men.

I'm sure voters were using different criteria, like how good the teams will be, age, etc. KD being the 8th best player in the league is silly.

Itโ€™s probably been done in Europe to inflate scoring numbers as weโ€™ll see more transition baskets and wonโ€™t make it to the NBA but maybe FIBA, which could put the US at a disadvantage. Who knows

I guess Ben Simmons didn't get the mental health help he needed from Philly. I'm not entertaining any of it. Dude melted down in the playoffs and then got exposed on the biggest stage. Then started conveniently having these issues.

He'd have gotten more respect if he said I'm supposed to be the star player and I didn't perform. So I'm going to work. I don't know we'll see how it works out in Brooklyn. I'm not a big believer though.

Ben Simmons said in an interview that he was in "a bad place" with his mental health during last season, and the Philadelphia 76ers weren't providing support. "And that's all I wanted, was help," Simmons said.

How the **** are two of the best offensive big men in NBA history - plus #1 & #2 in MVP voting (I believe the last two seasons) - an "easy move out?"

Sometimes I wonder what and who you watch when it comes to these points you make.

It's for LeBron and KD, that's why it's easy. Not to mention neither Joker nor Embiid have a strong postseason resume [emoji2369]

Their "postseason" resume has little to do with ranking them going into this year. I love both LBJ & KD, but it is more than understandable to say that the two best centers are both better than them as they enter the 39 year old & 34 year old seasons, respectively.

Especially with the seasons Emiid & Jokic just had while they are both in their physical prime (unlike LBJ & KD).

I don't think people have watched enough of the Joker. That dude is ridiculous. The only knock you can put on him is he's not some great defender.

He took a roster of role players at best to the playoffs. He's as dominant as anyone on the offensive end. Whether he's bullying dudes. Using elite footwork or dishing like a pg.

He's easily a top 5 player imo. Dude is a ****ing beast.

Right, and except for the elite passing the same can be said of Embiid. He took a bunch role players, one fringe all - star (maybe) in Tobia Harris and a clearing either declining or "out of shape" James Harden to the 2nd round.

To say either guy isn't "worthy" of being a top 5 player is preposterous. I feel like this is the same argument me and Cima had about Giannis. We all saw how that played out. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
