College Hoops 2K5 ps2 roster update! 22-23 season

I thought I was done forever, but I'm at it again ... I realize its not the PS3 game, but I'm updating 350+ names into the 2K5 ps2 version for this current 2022-23 season! I really enjoy the ESPN presentation and customizable features.

(The game should sim really well ... I also created South Dakota State and St. Thomas ... being that the game is older, not every current D-1 school is in here).

-Top-40 schools by Lindy's have starting five (or close) with real players.
-Features top-30 frosh
-Top-150 players (& more) in the game!

Will include star players such as Timme, Tshiebwe, Bacot, Sasser, Jackson-Davis, Dickinson, Jacquez, Love, Edey and many more!

After nearly 15 hours of work, my ps2 roster is done (early!) I just need to transfer/post it ... will do that shortly. Here are the top teams:

North Carolina (90), Gonzaga (89), Kentucky (87), Duke (87), Indiana (87), Texas (87), UCLA (86), Kansas (86), Arizona (86), Virginia (86), Creighton (85), Xavier (85), Arkansas (85), Alabama (85), Oregon (85), Villanova (84), Baylor (84), UConn (84), Texas Tech (84), Michigan (84), Houston (84), Dayton (84), St. Louis (84), TCU (84), Wyoming (84), Illinois (83), Michigan State (83), Ohio State (83), Tennessee (83), Wisconsin (83), Memphis (83), Purdue (83), Miami (83), Auburn (83) ... and many more schools have at least 3 players named! School roster ratings vary a bit based on who you have in the starting rotation.

The .psv file is attached ... you'll need to extract all and put on a flash drive.

Sounds good! It's one of the best college hoops video games out there (along with March Madness 2004, College Hoops 2K8 and NCAA Basketball 10)!

Do you have these in psu format? I tried to convert to psu and I thought it worked so I loaded it into mem card. But file didn't work apparently.

These are the only ones listed in the official game manual. Hope this helps.

OFFENSE
Dribbling
• To dribble the ball, move the left analog stick in the direction you want to move.
• To get a speed burst, press and hold the R1 button while moving in any direction. When doing so, a bar will appear below your player. The bar will deplete as you use up your speed burst. When the Speed Burst bar is empty, you will no longer be able to speed burst for a short while.
• You can dribble the ball between your legs repeatedly to put your defender off balance before making your move (known here as a "Hesitation dribble"). To do this, press • with the left analog stick centered (i.e. not pointed in any direction).
• To perform a crossover / driving move, move the left analog stick left or right and press the • button. This move is good for getting past your defender.
• To cancel your crossover / driving move, center the left analog stick and press the • button again. Use this cancel option to avoid an offensive foul if a defender anticipates and blocks off your driving move.
• To perform a crossover / backstep move, move the left analog stick down from the basket and press the • button.
• To perform a spin move while your player is moving, press and hold the R1 button for a speed burst, and press the • button.
• To chain multiple dribble moves together, hold down the • button, then move the left analog stick to perform your desired moves.


To perform IsoMotion dribble moves, move the right analog stick:
• Hard Left - Crossover / Drive left (w/ R1 button for spin move)
• Hard Right - Crossover / Drive right (w/ R1 button for spin move)
• Hard Down - Step-back move
• Softly Any Direction - Hesitation dribble

You can manipulate pretty much every kind of ps2 save in every direction if you get tools that let you do that. I just dont know to what extent those tools are hosted anywhere anymore. They used to be on like 5 different modding sites about 15 years ago. Search ps2 save tools.
