How soon will EA update the base roster?

Downloaded the new game last night and went to view the Kraken roster. Disappointed to see that Matty Beniers does not have a photo and just a blank gray head. Cmon EA! Is this something they normally update in a roster update? Hoping to see an official roster update from EA soon so I can start a Franchise. Thanks

Don’t hold your breath. Would be surprised if we photos were added this year.

They only did once after all the years. It was the Rookie year of McAvoy as they did a headshot Image update mid Season. Guess was February.

Directly answer copied from EA moderator in her own Forum. Guess very low chances to see him in 23. Even Boldy who played the whole Season in Minnesota isn't in.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Super disappointing but I guess OH WELL. It’s a shame they can’t get young future star players like Beniers and Boldy into the game….I suppose I’ll just start the franchise and enjoy the game for what it is, 22 with a new cover that says 23…lol. Thanks, (go kraken) !

Yes, from my meaning its to much work for them, nothing to do that they don't have them. They are simply to lazy to update the headshot images. Notice also that many pics are some years old and they didn't replace them.

Some of those old pictures are due to them being on LTIR (i.e. Ryan Kesler), or are alumni (i.e. the Sedin twins)

Not only that, but NHLs 2000 through 2003 had headshots from 1997-98 and 1998-99, while NHLs 08 through 11 had headshots from 2006-07… MOSTLY, IF NOT ALL, ON PLAYERS WHO WERE STILL IN THE LEAGUE!

Most of the CHL are old one. Look at the CHL site. Many in AHL too. If its to much work for them, they could implement an upload for our Caps. Don't tell me now its not possible about copyright. If it would be like this we would not have Roster share in the game.
