Great video. As someone who was a major Madden and EA supporter, Bengal finally goes in on them as they have crushed one of his main sources of income with the franchise glitch. Worth a watch.

You know it's bad when he goes off. The criticism is 100% warranted, sadly.

Yeah they gotta fix this asap. And what about the years 5-8 corruption glitch?

I think the community trouble shooted it down to coach firing being flawed as the game runs out of coaches.

Come on EA…..please fix the game.

Now I am in year 3 (2024) week 11. I hope and pray it does not glitch out on me. I started this offline 32 team franchise (no coach firing) at release before the patches…..so I am holding my breath.

Hate to say it but what’s the point? We are just 8 months away when details of Madden 24 are “leaked” and we will all be hoping that this time, EA will have figured out the PS5 system and we will finally have our game. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Yes bc the most likely scenario is they have no idea how to fix it.

I truly wonder how many hours they are putting weekly directly related to fixing this bug. A total guess but I would bet bengal and myself (and many other posters here) have put in more hours off the clock looking for a fix than they have being paid

I’m done with this game. The draft glitch just happened to me. EA Sports needs to get its act together. This is disgraceful.

2.5 months of this bug is insane. The laziness of the devs this year is unmatched.

I feel like we're all correct. This game keeps having butterfly effects per any major changes that are made by "going back to the beginning" of the code.

Though, I am not like the folks who are quick to anger about things, I have to say that you fully have my backing on the fact that all of us are putting in more hours of remedies / workarounds / etc. and it's really weird to me that we all find out things exponentially faster than they do.

About the only thing that makes sense to me, per this game's code, and I'm fine if I'm wrong, no problem, I'm wrong about a lot, but still - I feel like the devs don't see the same problems and glitches that we do because they only take the time to see the game running directly off of high powered servers and likely extremely superior internet / bandwidth - right there at work - every single time. I don't expect that they ever seriously just take the game to an average household console and test it repeatedly.

Let's also remember that offline is bugged too. It breaks between 5 and 8 seasons. Long-term franchises are dead for both online and offline.

Oh, I'm with you. I play offline only. I still think that with everything that makes them more money being online, the game's code was built to handle online first and foremost, and again, they are likely testing it that way primarily with their superior (compared to what the rest of us have) tech and specs there where they work. If they were to prove to me that some guy living in a one bedroom apartment with comcast, entry level internet and everything on a powerstrip from their one, best outlet is who does QA tests on two old gen and two next gen consoles and then gives the okay to yay or nay the title updates - yeah, then I wouldn't think like I do, haha.

At this point I am just trying to find a mode in this game that doesn't have some game breaking bug that comes up. Franchise currently is screwed and while I don't play MUT, I know those guys are having their own bugs that are screwing them over. I don't know who at EA needs to be involved in getting these issues resolved but this is beyond ridiculous. I don't care how complex this issue is from an infrastructure/server standpoint or if it's purely crappy code that's causing but someone over there should be competent enough to isolate the problem and fix it.

They be like "man... they don't have my favorite team's 75th anniversary cleats... this game is unplayable!!!"

meanwhile the mods here will condescend members and argue semantics that franchise "isnt unplayable". the threads on here with mods defending this product are disgusting. 5th ban incoming since the beginning of the site. cya guys.

what? if there is a mode called FRANCHISE mode and the game glitches out and keeps reverting back to year 2 every time, that is unplayable.

If the mode was called "season mode" then no, it would be playable because it is being honest and true to what the name of the mode suggests.

If you buy a bike with a missing handlebar and wheel, just because you can struggle for 5 yards before falling to the ground doesn't make it "ridable" it is UNRIDABLE.

I look at it like this.....franchise mode is advertised as being able to play for 30 years, NOW with that being said is the mode unplayable? no, only because I am able to start the mode and play to a certain extent....

NOW is the mode broken? yes it is, due to the fact that I am NOT able to play a full 30 year franchise if I desire to do so.
