I agree. They messed up a good thing. Camera is too far and tilted too high. They ruined it.

This thread is very light on details. I’ve been using broadcast or true broadcast as long as they’ve been around. Not sure what’s going on in here.

Edit; nvm I see now. Yeah I think I hate it.

There are plenty of playable camera views from afar already, True Broadcast was the only functional one for players like myself with visual impairments who need a close-up view of the action. I've used it for years and to have it suddenly altered a month after launch is unacceptable. Hoping it's a patch bug as the game is pretty much unplayable for me now. Why EA continues to remove features that have been established standards is just baffling.

It has to be a bug because True Broadcast means the view from every home teams TV Broadcast.

Go check out the EA forums. It was confirmed today by EA_Aljo that due to “consistent feedback” over the years, True Broadcast has now been altered to this unauthentic high profile camera angle.

They removed True Broadcast - a staple feature for the past decade in the simulation community.

This is not only a feature we all expected as usual, but that was included at launch. A month later they have intentionally taken it away.

Bear in mind this is all amidst the huge firestorm of negative feedback at the EA forums over their nuking of full presentation and forcing gamers to “condensed.”

This series is clearly being directed towards online/HUT cross play.

I can honestly say I’m completely done with EA’s NHL series until a complete overhaul is made, if ever. The game is pointless without these authentic presentation features to me.

I play for immersion and attention to detail. They are actively hearing feedback and continuing to remove TV authentic broadcast features despite the criticism. EA Sports does not care about the simulation market.

It’s too bad there is so much hate for this, would have been better to just add this new camera while keeping the old true broadcast. If people actually give the new one a try it’s fantastic

Missing the point - it's not about playability, it's about the immersion of authenticity. A lot of hardcore simmers want the experience to look like a TRUE BROADCAST as we've seen on TV our whole lives, not like we're sitting in the arena rafters. Everyone else, including yourself, can use whatever view suits your experience or preference of playability, we want ours to look like a broadcast plain and simple.
