Thanks for sharing that, was a fun watch.

THey somehow missed the entire head coach series and I think they missed the second Mutant League football game.

And it's not helpful because I can't think of the name (Can see the cover in my head) but there was a college football game they missed that came out after the Joe Walsh series that they missed.

    Edit: This one,

      Edit: This one,

Madden Arcade was missing. There's Mutant Football League which Is a spiritual successor to Mutant League Football. There's also Blood Bowl which is technically a football game.

I caught that one too but looked it up and it's not releasing until next year.

That's the sequel. I recommend the first one. The last bit of DLC just released along with the last roster update.

I really miss the Joe Walsh Rocky Mountain Way College Football games.

Missing the Front Page Sports Football games. I thought Front Page Sports 96 was a revolutionary type game back then.

Going back further and more obscure is Super Sunday for Commodore 64 which was a sim type game but one I remember playing as a kid

Front Page Sports was in there, at least the first one I remember seeing.

the management games were voluntarily not integrated, just like blood bawl serie, which are tactic/strategy games.

Jeeze, that brought back some memories.

If you weren't around for the jump to the PS1 era, then the PS2 era, I don't think any other jumps in my lifetime have compared. To go in a few years from sprites to 3D modeled blocky players to finally actually looking realistic was just insane to live through. It felt like every couple games had made a decade of progress.

Re: Every NFL football video game since 1972

I played NFL Challenge for years and had a huge league going in college with my roommates and buddies. I played the game on my old 286 IMB compatible PC. I pre-paid for the "soon-to-be-released" NFL Challenge Premium edition in 1992, which was never released and I never got my refund from the XOR company. That was a good chunk of beer money for a college kid.

I could live with the the Xs and Os graphics with an Out of the Park made football game.

4th and Inches along with TV Sports football were the greatest! Definitely remember those games fondly.

AFAICT they stop counting the NCAA Football franchise years before it actually got suspended.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

I remember when Madden didn't have the NFLPA license and came with an enclosed sheet/poster that listed each team's roster and player names.

I played the hell out of Real Sports Football on Atari for several years
and enjoyed it immensely with my friends, for what it was.

by the time Tecmo came out I had taken leave with a ten year sabbatical from video games
though I still remember my little brother playing all the Tecmo's with his friends,
and their gaming sessions and enjoyment dwarfed my own experience.

I was envious at the time but not enough to get back into video gaming.

Madden 99 (and Metal Gear Solid) brought me back into the video game fold with the original PlayStation and I haven't stopped gaming for the last (almost) 25 years
