100 percent momentum is back again from NHL 2001 bug

100 Percent Momentum is back offline and be a pro, I just noticed this, this 100 momentum is what causes AI CPU to go berserk and come back logic, someone needs to bring this to the attention of NHL Developers. it's an old bug from NHL 2001, NHL 23 did a big relapse.

If you are talking about "BERZERK MODE" it’s been in the game forever !!! I saw it show it’s ugly head a couple of times in 23, but not as much as I saw it in other older versions….

When you see it appear, shut your game down, restart your system and everything will be fine…

Like I said, I’ve seen this maybe 3 times so far in 23, but I play the game way tooooo much !!! Shouldn’t be a problem for the casual player, lol !

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Just sit back and wait for them to make a mistake. Soon as you start chasing you're in trouble.

I don't even consider it "berzerk mode" or "100 percent momentum" though. Teams get hemmed in all the time (IRL). If they didn't in this game, it'd be right back to pinball hockey.

Yeah, I might have experienced something along these lines before...but never for more than a game? I typically only get a game in every day or two, so maybe you just need to reboot the game? No idea. I've also got game speed down to 0, so that might affect it?

Just had one of those games during my season and I couldn't shut it down because I forgot to save after my first 2 games and didn't want to lose them. Score was 9-8....goalies were garbage and skaters super powered. My games are usually very good with good shot totals and goals ranging from 0 to 5. That 9-8 was ridiculous because they weren't even good goals

But yeah, sometimes it just seems like a rough game happens...I miss the days where they had hot/cold streaks listed, or a goalie was tired...made a lot more sense when they would having a stinker.

I didn't play one and I've been away for a few days. I'll hit it Monday but I vaguely remember one release I found I had to exit before every game and also reset my slider settings each game or things would derail. I may just do that before each game.

Inconvenient. I played a couple on the weekend and it was good...Got ahead of Vegas early with a couple of power play goals, and once they started trying to be aggressive offensively, I ended up shredding them. Then, Pittsburgh in game 2 was probably the best game I've seen. Sniped the top corner for 1 goal, had a tip in for another, and the 3 came on a big scrum out front of the net. Nice to see variety.

Still finding that the goaltenders are either really good, or dog poop though.

The AI will switch it's strategies up, especially late in the game to press more. That's all you're seeing. There has never been comeback logic in this series since the start.

It’s not about strategies, and players pressing more, trust me… I have started a thread on this years ago… ALL the players are on WARP speed, steroids mixed with red bull !!!

I see it rarely in NHL23, but it happens… Next time it happens, I will record a video of it…

It's not momentum or EAs banned term "ice tilt" it affects cpu and user controlled teams. The best way to describe it, it's like all your sliders didn't load and game speed is maxed. For me, in season mode, I just save and exit after each game and reload my settings before each game and it doesn't happen. It only seems to happen if I play multiple games in a row

Yep - this has been a problem for years and years and hasn't been resolved.
