    Retired Numbers

Is there a workaround to enabling retired numbers? I'm not trying to do anything nefarious here. I'm simply building a mid-90's Sacramento Kings roster within my "current era" roster file so I can use them to play other classic teams across all eras.

I am simply trying to put Mitch Richmond in his actual #2[emoji24] instead I'm having to use the next closest thing visually, #5 ...

I've had some success with the "retired player name" trick, where you give players the name of the guy whose jersey was retired (i.e. name someone Michael Jordan in order to give them jersey No. 23 then change the name back).

However, if that worked, you wouldn't have to worry about Mitch Richmond's No. 2. I ran into the same issue with Terry Porter, as I can't give him No. 30 in Portland.

      That worked bro, thank you.[emoji1417]

If you're still having issues with Terry Porter...here is what I did:

      - edited my targeted player (Mitch Richmond) and imported the DNA of any other player (like, Bobby Hansen)
      - edited another player on the roster -- might be best to choose one of those garbage create-a-players. ***Change their name to the retired player's name*** (for ex., to Mitch Richmond). And then, import the DNA (appearance & attributes) of your player
      - done

I would support this endeavor. I'm still having no luck with Terry Porter in particular.

Lets say you want Vucevic with n.23 on the current Bulls. 1- trade Vucevic to another team where 23 is available. I used the Cavs. 2- change his name and number to Michael Jordan and 23. 3- export him on 2kshare. 4- trade the real MJ on the Bulls. 5- overwrite the real MJ with the saved Vucevic (named MJ) from 2k share.

Creating my own custom roster… I’ve created the 2012-2013 lakers
and no matter what… I can’t assign #6 (to Earl Clark),
              any suggestions?!

So in the case of Terry Porter, I'd:

                  1. Trade Terry Porter to, say, the Pistons and change his number to 30.

                  2. Keep his name as is (since he's the one who had 30 retired for him)?

                  3. Export him to 2K

                  4. Trade Porter back to the Blazers

                  5. Overwrite the original Porter with the 2KShare Porter?

                  Is that right?

Ok this explanation finally makes me understand how to do it.

I’ve got to do this with BJ Armstrong to get him to #10 on my Bulls superleague roster.

Question: When you mess around with their names like changing it then changing it back etc., does that mess up how the announcers recognize them? I.e do they lose specific commentary etc.

Can anyone that’s had success on doing make a video for current rosters. For the like of Rasheed Wallace on the 2000 Blazers or Current Suns with Barkley wearing #34, Pacers #31 Reggie Miller.

VDusen: I will see if I can re-create this --- what exact scenario are you having? Terry Porter can't get #30? On which classic team -- '91 Blazers, or all-time Blazers?
EDIT: nevermind, you elaborated further down...

Yep, 80's Blazers in my MyEras.

Just tried trading him to the Hawks, giving him No. 30, exporting him, and downloading him over a generic back in Portland but his number swaps out to No. 3.
