Do I have this right?
Madden developers:

• Broke the servers (or at least the servers went down) over Christmas
• After a couple of days, told people they were fixed and to go play their franchises
• In actuality, it turns out that doing exactly what Madden devs told us to do caused a file corruption, deleting at least 60% of franchises
• Told people on 12/31 that they would roll out a schedule for recovery "next week" which they still haven't done as of today 1/9

What is going on over there? How is this acceptable?

Worst time for this to happen. The good in me is telling myself they are working so hard at NCAA Football 25 that they slipped up. Deep down I know thats not the case.

I just can not get past that they told people to play their franchises, when doing that is what caused their franchises to be corrupted, basically leading CFM fans to their own demise.
And worse, since they have done zero to acknowledge that they made that mistake. There have been no updates and no make goods for Franchise users.

It just seems insane to me, and is the main reason why I won't be buying next year unless something truly drastic changes. How can I trust that the franchise I pour hours and hours into won't just disappear without warning?

Yep, I agree, and will keep saying it, and keep saying it......

but unfortunately nothing will get done..... still too many Madden sicko fans that think the Developers are gold or expensive china or something that they can't be criticized for the way franchise has been in last place FOR YEARS and will continue to be with some of the nonsense going on with it....

This year people on here and many places have criticized Madden. There's even been official OS pieces that have talked about the issues that franchise has had this year. It's been a pretty bad last few years to be a franchise player as well as many other modes.

I know the feeling. When 2k21 dropped for the Ps5 back in ‘20 I had about 4 MyPlayer filed get corrupted. Haven’t bought 2k since.

I just got back into madden during the pandemic, after not playing it since madden ‘17. Looks like I might have to step away again
