The moment mobile devs realised they could make money on micro transactions and card trading and buying crap, they completely abandoned the gameplay that allowed us to just play a game on our phones and a simple season. It's not longer doable in any sports game. I think NBA2K20 for mobile was the last one.
Heaven forbid they would actually just give us a "mobile"...."game". This is what has generated all these older mobile games modded and updated to current rosters on Android the past few years. Because at a certain point, FIFA, Madden, NBA2K and NBA Live all had mobile versions that were just simplified versions of the real games. But that ship has probably sailed. We'll have to wait for the generation that actually likes this crap to grow out of them.
