EA Sports PGA Tour Live Stream - Road to the Masters Invitational -
Operation Sports Forums
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

Looks like it's going to be streamed at Masters.com, at The Masters social accounts (@TheMasters), and at the EA Sports PGA TOUR account, too (@EASPORTSPGATOUR).

Looks to be about 2 hours long according to the Masters website .
Road to the Masters Invitational will stream live on Sunday, April 2 from 6:00 p.m. to approximately 8:00 p.m. EDT across the following platforms and channels: Masters.com; @TheMasters on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook; @EA on Twitch; @EASPORTSPGATOUR on Twitter, Instagram and YouTube; @EASPORTS on Facebook; ESPN+; and the ESPN app. An edited version of the show will be broadcast on Wednesday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN2.
A cross-section of participants from the worlds of sports, entertainment, gaming and social media will convene in Augusta Nationalโs Press Building in front of a live audience to play EA SPORTS PGA TOUR: Road to the Masters, which will be available worldwide on Friday, April 7. The full list of participants will be revealed at a later date.
A crew of four broadcasters will deliver commentary throughout the event. Rich Lerner of Golf Channel will serve as the host, while Amanda Renner of CBS and ESPNโs Michael Collins and Marty Smith will provide live analysis.
Four teams of two will play in an alternate-shot format on EA SPORTS PGA TOUR: Road to the Masters. Following nine holes, the top two teams will advance to a three-hole, alternate-shot final round at Amen Corner, hole Nos. 11-13 at Augusta National Golf Club.

Now it all becomes a lot more clear why there hasn't been any prior gameplay videos released.
They had planned this big event to show it off and to include some of their partners to bring traffic to their respective websites.
Maybe this will help kill the chatter that EA was afraid to show off gameplay. Quite the opposite actually considering the multi-pronged worldwide stream.
...just maybe this game is really something special.

Will be the first look at gameplay, but will also be important to remember that these will probably be on the most casual of settings with power boost and mid-air shot spin. I'm just saying, if you see Justin Beiber up there piping drives down the middle and nailing 50 foot putts, keep in mind what settings their playing on before coming here with your opinions on it.
Still think we'll need to wait for Youtubers and reviewers to get their hands on it to see full sim gameplay
Re: "Road to the Masters Invitational" Live Stream Tournament Coming April 2
This feels bizarre lol. This is how they are debuting actual gameplay. Have all these people played the game already? Plus live commentary. I'm sure it'll be mostly be unserious, with a lot of "the game looks great, it's crazy how graphics have advanced" comments over and over.

I'm interested to see if Augusta allows spin and power boost...they did not allow you to use those features at the course in the Tiger Woods games that had Augusta in them.

It certainly is a bold way to show the first unfiltered gameplay. And it's also a great way to draw more eyes to this event. The marketing play here is smart on their side. Like I said in the past, keep them wanting more.
Well, now they're going to give it to us and drive a fair amount of views by holding back until this point.
I am very interested to see how this plays out on April 2!

Tbh I thought the whole "BIRDIE" popping out of the hole would be enough for Augusta to say "Nah" so maybe they've relaxed their stance on that stuff since?
I am optimistic that them including Augusta will keep the game pretty contained... Was playing Rory yesterday and just had to roll my eyes whenever my golfer would hit the worm after hitting a 250 yard drive directly into the rough

Augusta definitely has eased up on things...I know I've mentioned it here before, but that Dude Perfect video with Bryson DeChambeau was about the last thing anyone would expect Augusta allow on their hallowed grounds. So it would not shock me if everything is fair game now.
Other things like the attire they let you wear when playing at ANGC will also be interesting to watch, since they forced you to wear certain clothes at The Masters or when playing any round at Augusta in previous games.

So they are catering to the 90% of people who may buy a golf game and not the 10% of us hardcore hypersensitive video golf aficionados? Get me names of the people at EA's marketing department, they are all daft!
Hopefully there will be some nuggets we can all use!
