This is cool...we kind of knew it was in, but glad it's confirmed:

During Career Mode gameplay, you can use the “AI Pairings” setting to play shot-for-shot against an AI PGA TOUR pro, or turn it off to speed up the round and concentrate solely on your game.

The AI performance is based on official ShotLink data, so pros play each course and particular hole just like they would in real life.

Really confused… in the setup screen it showed different swings you could equip your player with and they looked ridiculously smooth.

Even some of the swings in game looked awesome.

And then, seemingly at certain courses?, there appeared to be a lot of stuttering on certain swings.

I'm pleased by the progression system. Career mode looks decently deep going by the menus anyway. Of course, they hardly talked about much of it in the video.

Curious about the ai parings….I’m assuming it’s just locked to the official in game roster? The way they worded and said make it seem it’s open to the entire tour. Otherwise that looked real good.

Also cool that you can adjust this for Regular tournaments, Major Events, The Players & EA Sports Championships, and lastly the Fed Ex Cup.

"Club Specs" sound very similar to fittings in 2K23.

Yup, and can buy golf ball specs from the store. Not sure how I feel about that. Hopefully that’s locked solely for career mode.

I like the features, but man this still looks not super smooth and a bit hitchy and glitchy.

I really wish we knew if this was showing us what a good/great PC is capable of, or if it's 30fps console footage capture.

About what I expected. Love the AI pairing feature, that'll be fun and make it feel more like a tournament then me just out there playing by myself against a scoreboard. The club specs sound interesting, I'll have to get it in my hands before I fully comment on it but it sounds promising.

Gameplay, to me, looks to be between Rory and TW14. Feels like off the tee and fairway game will feel very much like Rory with a coat of paint (This, in itself, isn't a terrible thing. Rory played it's best the further you were form the hole. The issues started to present themselves when you got into situations when you really needed some finesse and it just wasn't possible in that game).

The putting is looking way more like TW14 then Rory to me, it looks like there will be some actual weigh on the putts. This is crucial, putting on Rory was an abomination simply because there was no way to fine tune your putt. Cautiously optimistic but I'll know more once I see some actual reviewers playing. Can only take away so much from a trailer where we don't know what settings were and weren't on.

They have really neutered the draw distance on detail/3D grass right in front of the golfers.

It changes and degrades just mere feet in front of the golfer it would appear

Really happy to see authentic sponsorships across the board… Events, Accessories, etc.

                            Haven't watched the video...

Did they mention anything about the "required" online connection?
