Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
I’m shocked I tell you..absolutely shocked. Lol pretty sure anyone following the saga known as Motorsports Games and their failed ‘22 Heat 5 DLC and Ignition’21 saw this coming.
Motorsport Games announced in an earnings call on Friday that its dedicated IndyCar game will not be released in 2023, as the company's 2022 fourth-quarter financial report painted a grim picture of its financial state.“Based on this cash and cash equivalents position, and the Company’s average cash burn, we do...

Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
With the supposed Nascar 2023 game they had two years to work on it and it never made it past the design stage. With the Nascar Heat 5 DLC they said it was just about done but they were working on some audio issues, turns out they stealth canceled it. They be lying yoComment

Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
I can't figure out how long Motorsport Games will be able to keep this charade going.
It's a joke, and the leaders of NASCAR and IndyCar have no freaking clue. The best-case scenario for those two licenses is for MSG to finally go down in flames, and for Monster Games (now with backing from iRacing) to take up the licenses. Yeah, it'll be two years plus before we get a new game, but that would probably be quicker than MSG at this point.Last edited by jasontoddwhitt; 03-28-2023, 05:12 AM.Comment

Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
The IndyCar game will probably never make it past design as (reportedly) NASCAR '23 never did.
I've said it elsewhere, Motorsports Games was never more than some sort of capital venture for a small-time corporate raider that calls themselves an entrepreneur.Comment

Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
What's so frustrating about this is that racing games are having a moment and have been peaking seemingly for a few years now. Motorsports Games is missing out on a huuuuuuuuuge opportunity, especially with the IndyCar game. Like someone said above, whoever is in charge of making these decisions on IndyCar's and NASCAR's part really need someone in their ear telling them how boneheaded it is/was to align their product with Motorsports Games.Comment

Re: IndyCar video game delayed beyond 2023
Shocking. MSG must need to finesse another set of venture capitalists of their hard earned millions. I can only assume another pump and dump is coming any day now to ensure they can even stay on the market?
And to think, we lost Indycar on iRacing for THISComment
