When he run roster thru the editor the true rating is not showing... this year I will manually edit every player and soon as you go into edit player the real rating shows up ... I'm doing appearances batting stances.. pitching edits and all ratings corrected

Yes, it is a bit weird.

For MLB player, ratings are based on real stats from the previous three season plus projection for the current season. For players in the minors, sometimes their ratings incorporate randomness to some extent, give the lack of available data and to my laziness to get the data.

I did not know about that!! Nice finding.

The good part, is that you can edit the player ratings to your taste. You could also share that edited roster file.

Edit: Thinking a bit more, it is not really surprising, as most likely, the game has its own formula to compute player's overall from the rest of the attributes (ratings). On the other hand, I have my own formula to compute Overall rating (OVR). I am pretty sure my OVR formula is totally different from the one this game applies.

April 2023 Roster update.

Still no roster editor yet.

Notes:

• Rosters are accurate as of April 11 2023.
• Some fields are random, mainly player skin color, player likeness, salaries and contract length. For the 25 players in each of the MLB rosters, skin color is more or less accurate. If you want to help, please reply here in this thread to be able to update the values in those fields for each player.

• The whole 90 player roster is updated for all franchises. Not only in MLB but also all the minor league teams. Thanks to baseball-reference.com and fangraphs.com for sharing all that information.
• Thanks to MBMavs20 for his 2020-2022 pitch edits.
• All-star rosters are according to the 2022 season. Keep in mind that this game only allows 25 players per team in its current form (15 for Class A teams) including all-star rosters.
• Guardians replace the Indians as team name. After applying the 2023 Game Patch, all logos are updated, not only for the Guardians.
• Ohtani is a pitcher but also plays as DH.
• Current injured players that have been in a MLB team this year appear in the minors, most of them at least.
• No more than 45 pitchers per franchise. This is a constraint from this game. We stick to it to be able to complete player trades and to avoid strange behavior in RTTS.
• Fix for an issue in previous rosters regarding pitching attributes wrongly set to zero for some pitchers, mainly from the Washington Nationals franchise.
• Audio player names are either correct or there is no audio at all. Adding more variety to player appearance, pitching and batting stances.
• This roster update takes the stock roster as a base. Just save in game the stock roster in any slot, back it up in Vita Save Manager (or any other similar tool), replace your decrypted game saves for this game with my files. Restore it in Vita Save Manager.
• Please post in this thread any issues you find.

I noticed that when Ohtani is pitching (also DH) in a game and it comes his turn to bat, the other pitcher is not pitching any balls to him. This happens when you play with DH. Just fast forward to continue the game. I guess this is just the way the game handles it and there is not much to be done. The game just expects a player that is not playing in any defensive position as DH.

This surprising play happened the other day.

In this video, the Marlins fountain -AKA The Monstruosity - still there. Even in the game files, it is called like that. It is not there anymore after applying my patch.

Hey mate, I keep getting File is Corrupt for the new roster update.

I only just got your 2022 sep roster Monday and it worked perfectly. I followed the same procedures with the new update and no dice.

I just checked the roster file and it seems to be ok. Before uploading these roster updates, I also check it actually works on PS Vita.

Follow the procedure again. It is the same procedure as with the Sep 2022 roster update.

Any more feedback from the others?

Sad day yall.... I dropped my Vita and have the black screen ... smh ... I will order a screen off Walmart or Amazon ... and watching the replacement video... I gotta take the whole vita apart ... I will get this going just a lil delay... been had this 1000 model since day one release ...
