I give it .5% chance just because never say 0% lol. The CAP system in WWE has been substantially better for like a decade now. This isn’t new news and they never bring any of it over to the NBA side. Makes no sense.

My uneducated guess, as I've never played any WWE titles is that the amount of NBA players missing that could be made outweighs the amount of wrestlers.
Just my thoughts.Truth...Comment

Just my 0.5% I wonder if the reason they don't bring it over is because of the revenue loss it could cause. There are some very talented CAP makers that would easily create models that people would upload.

Revenue loss for 2k? From what?
Don’t they pay some of these guys to use their likeness? They’d be paying them less. Plus they are having to hire guys off Twitter like Razor or whatever his name was that they wouldn’t have to hire.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
We desperately need a new CAP system, the current one hasn’t been updated since 2k19. The CAP faces look really bad compared to the new face scans. There’s some premade body types in the MyCareer player editor that could easily be ported over. We shouldn’t have to randomize generated players to find a body type that we want.
I still have nightmares about the CAP faces in the 2k16-18 era, those guys were scary looking.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
ok so new topic:
did anybody see the CAP system that WWE 2K23 have????
its amazing!!!!
different body types, way more presets, you can modify left and right eyes separately, color map for body skin and the top of the notch: face photo capture!!!!!!
what are the odds that we get any of this for 2K24?!?!
Perhaps it's easier to have a detailed CAP system for a game that takes place in a contained environment with a limited number of participants (and with a smaller number of wrestlers overall).
As mentioned, I could be way off, I just know it wasn't that long ago that we had pretty modest CAP limits, so I kind of wonder if we're currently at this crossroads where the consoles have become strong enough to handle hundreds of "simple" CAPs (i.e. NBA 2K's current system) whereas a WWE CAP system would put us back in the zone of CAP limits, if that makes sense.Comment

My uneducated guess would be that a CAP system that robust may take up a lot of memory/space when it comes to replicating it for NBA games where there can be up to 15 players per side every single game.

Also, this is why I wished the whole my career/park/all that was a stand alone game. Or treated like Warzone where it has it's own separate download. Pour as much into the "real" basketball as possible and have all the other stuff as an option for those who want it.
I feel like it's just not a priority. They've went sorta cartoon-ish in a way with all the park stuff and seem to have no issue with all CAPs looking similar to that to an extent.
I mean you may be right, I was just trying to figure out how.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
This could be true. But there are a lot of things they limit us on that would take no more space. Like picking the actual build/body style/muscle definition, giving us back body lengths, etc. I feel as far as face scans go, that likely takes up too much space. But I can't imagine just better build options are much of a limiting factor.

Imagine how advanced the basketball portion of this game would be if all those resources were poured into actual basketball. The presentation, immersion would be obscene.
It’s simply a testament to the game now. Most young fans aren’t interested in the technical aspect of basketball. The fashion, drama, highlights rule all. Like WWE.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Question for you guys: Any idea why this downloaded Pistons court gives me a crowd full of people with plain royal blue shirts? This is a playoff game but the same thing happens in the regular season, so it's not a "blue out" issue or anything.
If it helps, it's a court that's already in the game but I had to download it off 2KShare in order to make sure it was utilized only during its proper span (1988-1990). I'm guessing it's a 2KShare glitch for courts that are already in the game but if anyone know how to fix or avoid this issue, feel free to let me know.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Unfortunately whenever you change anything with custom arenas (full court edits) you lose a bunch of stuff like natural crowd attire. So it defaults to old 2K stuff like generic team colors for crowds. It’s the reason why I don’t download the 90’s United Center from 2K share for my Bulls in my custom superleague roster.Comment

1988-89 in the books. Pistons-Lakers final just like real life. Lakers took it in seven though. Playing through the 80's makes you really understand the impact of adding four new franchises in a two-year span, both from a league depth standpoint and from a design standpoint. Miami, Charlotte, Minnesota, and Orlando really pushed the league into the modern age and you can feel it in 2K.

Small role player correction needed:
Will Perdue appears blonde in the game, both from up close and especially during gameplay.
He was/is very clearly a brown-haired man.
