Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Patch Adds 3-Click Swing, New Presentation Settings, PC Mouse
I didn't know that, but I'll give it a try. There's no way to trigger when the camera switch occurs, right? You know, like you can in PGA TOUR 2K23? I love that option!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Another option is using follow camera which does hold with the golfer a decent amount once the ball is at it’s apex using the opposite stick to what you swing with move the camera around to see it from the side or reverse as it descends to it’s landing area. You can even zoom in to the ball a touch. Create your own broadcast so to speak.Comment

It’s not 2K standard but something other than the straight follow camera. I like it myself because I’m in control of it rather than getting the disoriented sense of where am I on the course.Comment

Re: EA PGA 23 New Update
Anything change with lie penalties?
(lack thereof mostly it sounds like)
I keep seeing people wondering/complaining about that not being nearly penal enough anywhere off the fairways.
It's a real game breaker for a golf game to not reward/penalize keeping your ball out of harms way. This is not a problem unique to EA Golf either. If you keep bowing down and praising the developers, (NHL series) nothing they give us the consumer will ever be a "finished" product. Take a stand, it is your money!!!.Comment

One other thing I haven't seen people comment about which has been a huge improvement was fixing the hole size. That was weird to say lol.
But seriously. The ball is far more realistic on shots that aren't centre cup. Huge huge huge improvement.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Patch Adds 3-Click Swing, New Presentation Settings, PC Mouse
Naturally in follow camera I was able to start the trolleying and panning almost instantly after contact, but it's dizzying because it doesn't switch to another perspective, it just swirls and tracks the ball... it's a bit dizzying to be honest. Yes, I'd occasionally get and interesting angle using the follow and stick rotation, but it was too much work to do it and the return on my efforts only produced a satisfying angle maybe 1/3 of the time.
FWIW, the broadcast camera perspective now seems to be broken worse than it was before the patch. Many of the camera angles it cuts to are from other fairways, or behind hills, buildings and trees.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

I wish they would fix the hideously large club heads and putters. It's worse on some pros than others, but some of the putters especially are gigantic, and some of the stances have the toe of the putter pointing upward in a very awkward way. I've seen a couple of mallet putters look half the size of the golfers foot lol. I guess it's just leftover graphics from Rory.Comment

Re: EA PGA 23 New Update
This is why I quit playing EA Sports golf games a very long time ago. I don't understand the enjoyment of shooting rounds in the 50s over and over again.Prototype Supreme

3-click thoughts:
Appreciate the wayward tee shots finally. However, the AI already chooses your club for you, chooses your shot setup for you, and shows you where your shot will land. And now with the addition of 3-click, the swing meter displays exactly how much power to hit your shot with.
Playing a game that holds your hand and does all the work for you like this game does, is not enjoyable to me. I find myself playing 2-3 holes and then shutting it off. It's dart board target practice, not golf.Comment

I hated the game at first, but after finding the right difficulty level, which for me is Tour right now where I shoot a little under par occasionally, turning off all aids except zoom and the grid, it really let me dig into the coolest part of this game--learning the touch and feel of the stick and how far to pull it back on approach and pitch shots. Turn off the swing meter for sure. Turn off the swing feedback arc. It's fun and challenging to learn the tempo of the stick with the short game.
Sometimes I shoot a few under, or just now, 8 over at The Players. It all comes down to how in or out of "the groove" I am, just like 2k.Comment
