I would say this is the worst stoppage I've ever seen, but I think it's just as clear evidence as you'll ever have in a nationally televised fight that boxing is not on the level. Tony Weeks clearly has bills to pay; he did not make that decision based on anything that happened in the ring.

If boxing had any integrity whatsoever, 3 things would happen after that travesty:

- the result of that fight would be nullified
- immediate mandatory rematch
- Tony Weeks would receive a liftetime ban from refereeing boxing

Of course, as we all know, boxing has no integrity, so none of those things will happen.
Boxing may be the only sport that revels in it's own ineptitude more than the NHL.
They could put in changes to review fights with questionable endings.
That quick trigger by Weeks cost a 40-year old Barroso life changing opportunities.
This is a guy who likely has been working jobs while pursuing boxing. He could have cashed in on a title bout and rode into the sunset knowing he could take care of himself and his family for the rest of his life.
Weeks robbed him of that.

I like your ideas for rectifying the results.
And I'd like to see something put in place for other erroneous decisions.
The first GGG-Alvarez fight is a great example. Everyone with a brain knew that fight wasn't a draw and GGG won at least 8 rounds.
In the 2nd fight, 97% of ringside scribes had GGG either winning or a draw.

In some cases, these decisions just reek of corruption.
It's 2023. We can figure out a way to correct these terrible decisions.
But in boxing it's like these are features not bugs.
