Is my GPU to far out of date for Madden '24

I built my PC when Madden was initially re-released for Madden, I think in '20 or '21.

    Currently running:
    GeForce RTX 2080Ti FTW3
    Intel i7-8700K 6 Cores
    64GB Ram

Playing Madden last night, and was getting some pretty heavy stuttering and even some tearing.

A bit disappointed, was fully expecting to be able to push this game.

Is my system just to far out of date, or are there other issues going on?

Was driving me absolutely crazy that it's unable to adjust graphics setting from within the game.

I've managed to play games really well over the last 10 years with cards that were sometimes up to 6 years old. It's not that the game WON'T play but you'd be surprised how many things are completely irrelevant to immersion but draw tonnes of power from your card. Stupid things like grass texture, crowd textures, really how detailed do you need that crap to be when you're in the heat of a game? Turn some of that stuff to medium then low and you'll be shocked how little you notice it when playing.

There is some stutters that need to be fixed but after I

Turned off Ray Tracing and put crowds at medium and everything maxed I got the game running 4k 120fps

Make sure to lock the FPS to 120 or in your case 60fps

Im running a 4090 and I9-9900k with 64gb RAM and was getting bad stutters. To fix it I had to cap my frames at either 60 or 120 and actually turn on V-Sync. Normally I never use V-Sync since I have a G-Sync monitor.

If you use gsync than only turn on VSync in the NVIDIA CP and not in the games

Well, if anyone is following, i messed around with settings in the graphics tab for a bit.

Regardless how low i turned down the settings, inwas still suffering some stuttering and potentially tearing.

Finally reset to default settings, put my resolution to 3840x2160 and turned Vsync on in the game, and as of right now, the entire game is completely cleaned up and running flawlessly.

              Thanks everyone!

Giving EA credit for adding in game PC graphics settings that weren’t mentioned before as far as I know. I didn’t have any issues running FIFA 23 on pc and that’s NG so considering the most games have issue like this at release it’s understandable. The only concern is trusting EA that it gets addressed within the first week. I do like the setting for the hair texture and the short time I’ve played I thought it looks considerably better than on console. Visually, the graphics give the gameplay a new look that I can’t quite figure out why or what changed.

Just thought I'd add, I was working on this for an ungodly amount of time and came to the conclusion that the culprit is the EA app. I think it borks the install or something, anyway, what worked for me was to clear the cache in the EA app thought I'd share:

                  hamburger menu->Help->App Recovery

                  Give them their due:
I found this solution from an EA support ticket

Your Pc is better then mine and while I've only played one game, I experienced very little stuttering. I did cap the frames to 120 from the get go and honestly probably should drop it to 60 as according to nvidia geforce, I barley topped 60 during the game.

                        I have a 3060, i7 11700, and 16gb ram. I’ve had no stutter but I thought I’d get higher than 50 fps?

Thanks for posting, this is more or less my exact build and I’m trying to decide today between PC and console

What settings are you running? And particularly what resolution?

Couldn't remember what my CPU was, finally looked this morning. My build is an i5-10400 with 1660 Super and 32gb ram. I averaged 55-60 fps. I did notice just a tad of screen tearing compared to my Series S and a bit more stuttering mainly during the intro. Now just to decide which version I want to go with.

I was initially on max everything and got around 50 fps. I tinkered with everything except resolution, lowering all other things to low and still around 50 fps. There’s something I’m missing settings wise that I just got to figure out. My time with the game hasn’t been alot. I will get more into it this weekend.
