- Only "skill stick" and the new "total controls" are in the game. "hybrid" is gone. I think players will go really 50/50 on deciding which controls to play with. With both you can do the same stuff but "total controls" are much easier (Lacrosse in triangle etc.)
So this is the end for NHL games to me also... I just cannot use any other controls than hybrid... Nice job EA once again! I sold my PS4 couple weeks ago and this week i was about to buy PS5 and getting prepared for hockey season and playing some NHL 23 games with upgraded PS but now when i saw this...
My life goes on but without NHL series because at this date i can announce that NHL series has died for me. 1997-2023
The release trailer says if you prefer legacy controls they're still an option.
I don't have greatest understanding when it comes to other languages than mine (finnish) but are you saying that legacy is hybrid? [emoji1696][emoji51] Because if that is true then i have to cancel my NHL series funeral at least one year [emoji23][emoji23]
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but from what I’ve read everywhere, only the new total control and skill stick will be in NHL24 [emoji31]
Well... I was going to buy PS5 this week but... Don't know anymore if EA f**ks our hybrid control people lifes like this because upgrading from PS4 to PS5 and getting NHL 24 was one of the biggest things this year...
And for you PK76... You don't bring the bad news because it is the f**king Electronic (F)arts... Every year they take something away from the game wich is important for many people and mostly for offline players... (True broadcast and full presentation NHL 23)
But this hybrid control thing affects both offline and online players and would like to hear some reasons behind this one that WHY IT HAD TO TAKE AWAY!!!! (if it is true)
I have played NHL games since NHL 97 (maybe even earlier but don't remember anymore) and if there aren't hybrid controls in NHL 24 then NHL 23 was the last one for me...
Never gonna buy any game wich has EA logo on the cover or has some connections to EA...
What's the difference with the "Hybrid Controls" compared to the new set up?
Doesn't Hybrid use face buttons and such?
Yeah, maybe that "new Total Control" is a better version of hybrid ? Seems like you have to use the face buttons for different kind of body checks ans such…
Maybe a wait and see attitude would be better in this case 🤔
