When do you think the first patch will come out to fix HFA & other things? Waiting to start my franchise till then. Other then those slight problems madden 24 is playing great

While I hope they have a D1P, last year we didn’t see 1.02 until August 29th I believe, we did not have a day one patch. You can Google around and find plenty of stuff on that, may have been the first madden to not have one in a while.

Posted this in the impressions thread, but HFA patch isn't coming soon. They're still trying to figure out the issue.

Well that’s a super bummer. How it worked in the beta, but not on release, and then going to take a few weeks to fix, just sucks

I want to say that there was an update to the digital version of the game last year. i could be dead wrong on that. What I do know is that the physical copy of the game, and the digital/trial version of the game were different builds. I'm getting the physical copy tomorrow and am interested to see if some of these issues are in the physical copy as well.

I'm having flashbacks to last year. Almost the same glitches and issues are being reported. I'm not downloading the game until I see what the word is around here after the first patch. If it's still a repeat of last year, I will keep waiting.

In your scenario, if the physical disk doesn;t have the same issues, then that's because it is from before it got "broken". It's entirely possible that a physical disk can have a version of the game that nobody who is strictly digital, ever get's to see, since the build of the "early access" game might already have some "fixes/breaks" incorporated into it.

This is true. Last years physical copy played closest to the Beta that we played . This is the very reason why I am choosing to get the physical copy again this year. I'll download the physical version onto my SSD Expansion and play it offline so that it'll never get updated.

Digital build is 1.01 on PS5.

I would assume the cd version will be 1.00 and prompt you to update to 1.01 when you install.

Be interesting to know how 1.00 plays and if HFA setting isn’t broken.

As a point of order, I don't think EA Sports has promised a "Day 1" patch this year, and in fact last year they referred to their first patch as a "Launch Window" patch which dropped in early September.

Unless some massive instability is discovered, probably don't expect a title update exactly tomorrow on the dot?
