Next-Gen Stats Removed During Gameplay?
Did EA get rid of Next Gen Stats during gameplay. On a big run or pass, you would see a screen wipe of Next Gen Stats but I haven't seen it at all. I don't understand why they remove things from the game instead of adding on or improving...smh

Re: Next-Gen Stats Removed During Gameplay?
Yup...It is like the Loki Series...EA prunes things out of existence and into the void...sometimes, 10 years later somehow they reappear or sometimes just stay gone forever. If they just ever improved on things instead of scrapping them I couldnt imagine how great a game it would beComment

Yep noticed this as well..also there's no crowd shots as well...as poor as the presentation currently is, taking away those 2 items already drags down what little presentation there was.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Next-Gen Stats Removed During Gameplay?
It's in the PS6 and Xbox Gen Z versions. Fox Sports crew is also in that version with Pre, Halftime, and Post game breakdowns."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

I know you're be sarcastic here, but the said part is you're probably right imo. Here we are in 2023 on the powerful hardware & yet 2K5's presentation still blows Madden away. At Madden's pace, we probably will have to wait for the PS6 just to get flushed out presentation smh.Last edited by JKSportsGamer1984; 08-18-2023, 04:36 PM.Comment

Re: Next-Gen Stats Removed During Gameplay?
I wish they would have built upon Next-Gen Stats to actually pay off the feature instead of removing it. As it existed in Madden 22 and Madden 23, the delivery was a bit half-hearted.
In Madden 22 in particular, there were all sorts of NGS stat displays in Franchise which never actually worked (for example, rushes and yardage gained by run play direction). It would have been wonderful for football nerds like myself if the stat keeping backing those UI elements were fixed instead of discarded.
Alas. My only hope is that Dynasty mode in EA Sports College Football is consuming a ton of resources which could have otherwise gone to fixing things like this in Franchise.Comment

Realistically, fans (at least on OS) have been clamoring for authentic presentation at least since M10. While some years have better than others, it’s clear that as a studio they don’t believe in it. I’ve unfortunately learned to be grateful for the presentation that does exist bc it doesn’t seem they’re ever looking to replicate tv. Resources can’t be the problem after almost 15 years; it’s clearly their preference.

Re: Next-Gen Stats Removed During Gameplay?
Originally posted by m1ke_nycRemember Next Gen Stats we’re supposed to be part of the player movement and animation engine. Real world data was being fed into the engine to help the players move and animate like they do in real life. This confirms it was just more buzzwords and marketing talk. Just like pro-tak, and true step, and hit everything etc.
Nah this is too far. Player locomotion, stat keeping, and presentation UI wipes aren’t remotely similar components. Given how much player movement and interaction has improved in Madden on PS5 / XSX / PC compared to last-gen counterparts, I assume whatever data captured from NGS is still being used in that part of the game.
At the absolute minimum, we already know EA Sports uses NGS to inform player ratings and ratings changes in roster updates. As one example, EA Sports and related social media accounts frequently cite player peak velocity numbers from real games to justify increasing certain players’ speed ratings.Comment

I also haven't seen them so much as once.
How many features have they silently removed this year, I wonder?
So far we've already confirmed two:
- Crowd celebrations (i.e. Lambeau Leap, etc.)
- Next-Gen Stats replays
It sucks because there was no great reason to remove either of those things. I'd love to know who made those decisions, and why.Last edited by Chubz; 08-18-2023, 05:27 PM.Comment

The crowd in the FIFA 24 trailer looked amazing. Heck the crowd in FIFA 23 is great. Guys, I'm not even a soccer fan. I'm really hoping the NCAA team can pull this from FIFAComment

I know they haven’t been in the game forever but I do miss things like player of the game, drive recaps after a TD, the player highlight montage during the game. Stuff like that.I also haven't seen them so much as once.
