Offensive Lineman Blocking (or lack of)

Really tired of lineman just letting inside linebackers and edge rushers go untouched. My center and guard would rather double team a nose tackle and let a linebacker just walk right up the middle for a sack within .5 second. Also, I noticed that some delayed routes by tight ends and rbs will disrupt the interaction between tackle and edge rusher (when the route runner slightly bumps into the backside of the tackle), which just allows them to walk right into a sack. They just stay in their kickslide way after the edge rusher passes them. Anyone else running into this problem?

Yup there is a play in the Ravens playbook that does this the TE is impeded from running

I noticed when I changed injuries from 10 to 25 this started happening for me as well. Everything else was default. Injuries was the only change I made. I put the injuries back at 10, problem was solved. Could have been coincidence, not entirely sure. Just sharing my experience

Happens a lot during screens, which for me is extremely frustrating. I maybe run 3-4 screens a game, in which 1 is successful. The time it takes the back to stop bumping into everyone, nearly always leads to a sack.

If I am lucky enough to actually get him the ball, it seems as if the lineman don't know who to block. It can be a 2 v 1, and the defense just weaves around the block(s) and takes down the back 9 outta 10 times.

This has been the case with screens in almost every version of Madden. I can only remember maybe 1 or 2 versions that screens worked correctly.

I have had decent success in past games, this year I just dont know. Blocking yes has always been atrocious, bit this year the back just can't get out into the open seemingly at all.

I’ve had a ton of success on screens this year. Set them up and then set up your blockers in space after the reception.

For me on any pass play, I ID the Mike, then set my protection pre snap on every passing play based on the look I’m getting from the defense. This does help, unless you misidentify the defense pre snap, which is part of the game.

I also ID the Mike every single play, run or pass despite it not impacting the running game I believe. I don't set the protection, but with just ID'ing the Mike I've not really had any issues outside of 1 or 2 plays thus far with the OL just leaving someone unblocked that didn't make sense. This is All-Madden with Pass Blocking at 20 as well, so the odds should be stacked against me. I guess I'd recommend people should use the ID the Mike feature if they are not.

Many times the only way the ai stops screens is steering/suction the defensive player into the rb. Not because they read the play correctly but if they don’t, the play will go for big yardage.
