Yes, but were your feet actually set for the throw?
What I mean is, a lot of people habitually move around with small micro-movements in the pocket wherher it's necessary or not...dropping slightly back every half-secondor so, a step left or right, etc. If you pay attention during like Rayweather's videos, he's doing it constantly. A lot of guys don't actually stop moving before they throw, especially if they're set to classic and don't have the arc mini game popping up.
And, as noted above, 10-12 yards is actually pretty deep for the current NFL. The highest ADoT in the league last year was 9.1 yards, and the guy who came first in EPA/play (Mahomes) was well under 9 yards. Hash placement matters too...there's a big difference between a 12-yard throw from the near hash as opposed to the far hash, especially on an out-breaking route. Throw Power probably comes into play at some point.
Now, Madden measures depth from the LoS, not dropback, and I'm only speculating that it even cares about hash placement when determining outcomes. I'm just saying that when we compare to NFL outcomes, let's compare apples to apples....the throws you're talking about are actually relatively infrequent.
If I had to guess....with all the powers of random forum guy archeology...the ratings compression due to difficulty that guys are talking about on your MAC and possibly THP, combined with the types of throws you're making, are causing the difference, and probably also explaining how different people are seeing such radically different results.
Sounds like there might be room to tweak that ratings compression for AM a bit....bearing in mind that will result in a much less challenging experience for users sticking with a lower ADoT or otherwise playing differently.
