Drops Passes Trait and Catch Rating

Is there any way to negate the effects of the "Drops Passes" trait? I know it can't be removed manually but will higher catch ratings negate the effect of this trait?

You can edit traits. Just not the "Drops Passes" trait. At least, not that I see.

The Drops Passes trait can not be edited.. at least not in the PC version

Drops Passes and Tight Spiral traits cannot be edited anymore, and it's highly, highly irritating. For years, we could fix both of these whenever we wanted.
