Madden 24 CPU vs CPU sliders COMPETITIVE mode

SETTINGS: I only input in franchise. (My kid plays too much and is constantly changing MM)

    DIFFICULTY: ALL PRO

    GAME STYLE: COMPETITIVE

    QUARTER LENGTH: 11 min
ACC CLOCK : ON 15 seconds (taken straight from Matt 10, it just works. You’ll still see audibles with the 15 sec)

    OFFENSIVE PLAY CD: 8
OFFENSIVE PLAY LIMIT:3 (This helps teams dive deeper into playbooks and my fear of endless 4 verts in key 2 min drills is old and deep rooted!)

    DEFENSIVE PLAY CD: 4
    DEFENSIVE PLAY LIMIT: 8

    HFA: OFF

PROGRESSIVE FATIGUE: OFF (with high Fatigue CPU teams are terrible at managing this)

    TEAM HELPERS

    BALL HAWK: ON
    HEAT SEEKER: OFF
    FLIP: ON

    DEV TRAIT MANAGEMENT

    BREAKOUT SCENARIOS: ON
SUPERSTAR ABILITIES: ON (these are part of the fun for me, love seeing a Hidden drafted)

SLIDERS player and CPU are the same

    QB ACC: 50

    PASS BLK: 50

    WR CATCH: 50

    RUN BLK: 50

    BALL SECURITY: 27

    PASS REACTION: 50

    INTS: 27

    PASS COVERAGE: 50

    TACKLING: 50

    SPECIAL TEAMS

    FG ACC: 15
    FG POW: 15
    PUNT ACC: 65
    PUNT POW: 15
    KICK OFF: 15

    GAME OPTIONS AND PENALTIES

    INJURIES: 35

    FATIGUE: 85

    THRESHOLD: 50

    PENALTIES

    OFFSIDES: 50
    FALSE START: 50
    HOLDING: 50
    FACE MASK: 50
    DPI: 50
    OPI: ON
    KCI: ON
    BLOCK IN BACK: 50
    IG: OFF
    ROUGHING PASSER: 50
    RK: ON
    RIK: ON
    IC: OFF

    AUTO SUBS
    85 in
    78 out
For all except HB, DT, DE
Those are 95 in 88 out

Seeing great results with these. Really like how competitive works with near default.

Think I remembered how to share a streaming link. My Armadillos vs the Falcons (and their backup QB)

Changed Facemask to 50. D was a little too tight/agressive (which I believe facemask affects!)

I’m interested in seeing how many plays per game you are getting. My experience has been that 8 min quarters with acc clock turned off has been just right. With longer clock settings my teams have resulted in having the top offense and worst defense. Would definitely like to see how your teams rank over the course of a full season.

I’m also curious how many sacks you are seeing. I know there’s no way to get realistic sacks. But are you seeing a lot of double digit sack games?

Hey Mcgibb! Last game I watched had 106 plays and 2 total sacks.

One before had 112 plays and also 2 sacks

Very nice. How’s your offensive defensive rankings look late in the season? Are you always first or last in either one?

Unfortunately not close to a full season with these yet. Spent all my time tweaking!

Might be a bit for me, came up with these while I had COVID. It’s back to the grind now, less Madden time [emoji107].

Re: Madden 24 CPU vs CPU sliders

Currently testing these with a few alterations. At 40 Pass Catching I was experiencing way too many unrealistic and uncharacteristic drops on both teams. I decided to bump this up to 52 after I was playing the Vikings and Justin Jefferson dropped a wide open pass in the end zone that he would have never dropped IRL. I have the Pass Coverage and Reaction Time both at 100, wide receivers get so much separation and these seems to help combat that and help your secondary play tighter coverage. Also I have Player Speed turned up to 100 for the simple fact that a DT should not be catching a player like Tyreek Hill from behind. I have fatigue set at 99 with progressive fatigue turned on, I’m late in my season and with your auto subs I’m getting about 15-20 Carries with my starting back and also getting to see carry’s with my other 3 backs and even for my FB when he subs in at PowerBack.

glad you’re enjoying them. It sounds like you’ve found a few tweaks to make them work for you.

One note putting threshold at 100 makes it MORE likely that a DT could catch’s wr, not less [emoji4].

After reading posts about 100 thresholds I’m currently giving it a whirl. Tried just swapping it in but defense got too tight. QB completion percentages dropped significantly.

The look and smoothness of the game is unmistakable though so I’m going to work with it.

So are you back to 0 threshold or still testing 100?

Still testing 100. Almost there I’d say. Seeing some amazing games

Re: Madden 24 CPU vs CPU sliders

I know the veteran slider makers have felt this pain for years now, but the lack of penalties makes realistic sliders so so difficult.

In 2022 the average total penalty yds per game was around 80-90.

Those yds completely change games. The lack of them leads to more yds per team and more points because less drives are stalled because of them. [emoji849] so so annoying.

Which leads me back to my original mission statement. Sliders that look good and feel good for the individual user are more important than perfectly stat accurate sliders. At least for me.
