    Deflo's NBA 2K24 (PS5) Fictional Draft Class

Hey guys, decided to do something different this year and create my own custom draft class. The draft class will focus on long term compatibility for MyNBA and takes inspiration from guys like Jeffruel and JB who I've really appreciated over the years.

The class will have edited peak start/end dates, gems, busts, role players and everything in-between. I am putting a big emphasis on specialist in the later 1st round and 2nd round picks, so they are still relevant. There will also be sleepers that could surprise if things line up for them.

The draft class will have a total of 75 hand crafted prospects for you to absorb into your long term MyNBA save.

DC is in progress and expected to be released by the end of October, pending successful testing.

To keep this fun, I'll be posting previews and write ups over the coming weeks until the full class is released. Enjoy!

For full write ups and Lottery bios see here: https://imgur.com/a/WuWO57X

    Draft Class is live!
    DC: Deflo DC 1
    Gamertag: Deflodd

This DC is tuned to ATD roster, but should work fine with base roster. Open to feedback! I recommend using nerfed progression sliders if you want to keep your long term MyNBA in sync with the base ratings (https://twitter.com/deflodd/status/1...522352920?s=20)

Simone Harrington: Rising Star of the Hardwood

Born and raised in the heart of basketball country, Simone Harrington was destined for greatness on the hardwood. Hailing from a small town in Kentucky, Simone's journey to stardom began in the local YMCA gym, where he first picked up a basketball at the tender age of five. Little did anyone know that this young prodigy would one day become a household name in the world of professional basketball as the number one college prospect.

Simone's meteoric rise in the sport began when he stepped onto the court for the University of Kentucky as a freshman forward. His presence was immediately felt, and he quickly became the linchpin of the Wildcats' offense. Simone's game was a breathtaking fusion of athleticism, versatility, and shot-blocking prowess that left both fans and scouts in awe.

Scouts and experts couldn't help but draw comparisons between Simone and NBA legends such as Andrei Kirilenko and Scottie Pippen. His graceful athleticism allowed him to soar above defenders for thunderous dunks, while his agility and finesse made him a nightmare to guard in one-on-one situations. Simone's shot-blocking ability was second to none, as he swatted away opponents' shots with ease, protecting the rim like a guardian of the paint.

What truly set Simone Harrington apart, however, was his exceptional scoring ability. He was a true three-level scoring threat, equally comfortable draining threes from beyond the arc, sinking mid-range jumpers, or finishing with authority at the rim. His basketball IQ allowed him to read defenses like a seasoned veteran, exploiting weaknesses and making his teammates better with every pass.

Simone's incredible talents and dedication to his craft earned him the prestigious title of the overall number one prospect in the upcoming NBA draft. NBA teams are salivating at the thought of adding this Kentucky sensation to their roster, hoping he could be the franchise-altering player they had been searching for.

Off the court, Simone remained grounded and humble, always giving back to his community and serving as a role model for aspiring young athletes. He was known for his infectious smile and charismatic personality, endearing himself to fans and teammates alike.

As Simone Harrington's journey continues, the world watches in eager anticipation, wondering just how high this young phenom could soar in the NBA. One thing is certain: Simone Harrington is a basketball prodigy destined to leave an indelible mark on the sport, and his story was just beginning to unfold on the grandest stage of them all.

          Andre Martin: The Canadian General

From the chilly streets of Canada emerges a player who defies the odds with every dribble, pass, and steal. Andre Martin, a dynamic guard hailing from the Great White North, has captured the attention of scouts and fans alike. His game, though lacking in traditional athleticism, is a testament to skill, intelligence, and unwavering determination.

Andre has been turning heads for his remarkable ability to run the floor and orchestrate the offense for the Canadian U18 team for years. Scouts may question his athleticism, but they can't ignore his undeniable resemblance to legendary point guards Penny Hardaway and Shaun Livingston.

Much like Penny, Andre is a big guard and a true floor general. He possesses a basketball IQ that's off the charts, a deep understanding of the game's nuances that allows him to see angles and opportunities others can't. His court vision is unparalleled, and he thrives on setting up his teammates with precision passes, making everyone around him better.

Andre Martin's on-ball defense is a force to be reckoned with. He's known for his tenacity, quick hands, and the ability to disrupt passing lanes. Opposing point guards often find themselves frustrated, unable to escape his relentless pressure. He's a defensive anchor who can turn steals into fast-break opportunities in the blink of an eye.

However, the scouts' concerns lie in Andre's perimeter shooting. While his ability to drive to the basket and finish in traffic is impressive, he needs to improve his shooting from beyond the arc to become a more complete player. But Andre is no stranger to hard work and dedication, and he's committed to refining his shot to silence the doubters.

Off the court, Andre Martin is a symbol of resilience and humility. He's known for his unwavering work ethic and his willingness to put in the extra hours in the gym. His journey from the Toronto streets to the cusp of NBA stardom is a testament to his dedication to the game he loves.

As the NBA draft approaches, scouts may continue to question Andre's athleticism, but they cannot deny his heart, his basketball IQ, and his ability to lead a team. Andre Martin is ready to prove that the intangibles he brings to the court are just as valuable as raw athleticism. The basketball world awaits the next chapter in the story of a young Canadian sensation, and with every pass and steal, Andre is determined to make his mark.

                      Xavier Byars: The Gridiron Giant

Born in southern Georgia, Xavier Byars is a true embodiment of versatility and determination. His journey from the football field to the basketball court is a story that captivates sports fans across the nation. Standing tall at 6'9" and weighing in at a robust 233 pounds with a wingspan that stretches an astonishing 7'5", Xavier is a force.

Xavier's sports journey began on the football field, where he showcased his athleticism and imposing physique as a tight end. However, it wasn't until his sophomore year of high school that he took up basketball, and the transformation was nothing short of remarkable. In just a few years, he sprouted from 6'3" to 6'9", leaving spectators in awe of his towering presence.

On the basketball court, Xavier is a defensive juggernaut. His otherworldly strength and wingspan make him an imposing shot-blocker and rebounding machine. Opponents have learned the hard way that driving into Xavier's paint is like running into a brick wall.

While his defensive prowess is undeniable, scouts have voiced concerns about Xavier's late start in basketball. Traditional skills like interior scoring, playmaking, and mid-range shooting could use improvement. He's determined to refine these aspects of his game and silence the doubters.

Durability is another area of concern, as Xavier tore both of his ACLs playing high school football. However, his resilience in overcoming those injuries demonstrates the mental fortitude that sets him apart. He's no stranger to adversity and uses it as fuel to propel himself to new heights.

Xavier Byars draws comparisons to NBA defensive stalwarts O.G. Anunoby and Trevor Ariza. His defensive skill set and versatility as a scoring wing have earned him recognition as one of the most promising prospects in college basketball.

In his second year at the University of Florida, Xavier faced off against the highly touted Simone Harrington of the University of Kentucky. Xavier outperformed Harrington in all three meetings, averaging an impressive 19 points per game along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals, while defending Harrington most of the game. These performances solidified his reputation as a rising star in the world of college basketball.

As the NBA draft looms on the horizon, Xavier Byars stands on the precipice of a dual-sport dream come true. With his remarkable physical attributes and unrelenting determination, he's poised to make a significant impact on whichever professional path he chooses, be it on the gridiron or the hardwood. Xavier's journey is a testament to the power of determination and the limitless potential of a true athlete.

                            Dimitri Fofana: The French Middie

Hailing from the picturesque landscapes of France, Dimitri Fofana is a towering presence on the basketball court, a beacon of untapped potential in the world of Euroleague basketball. At a towering 6'10" and 242 pounds, he casts an imposing shadow over opponents, but there's more to Dimitri than meets the eye.

Despite his youth at just 20 years old, Dimitri's journey through the Euroleague with FC Bayern Munich has been nothing short of captivating. A throwback to the traditional big men of the early 2000s, he possesses a unique style of play that sets him apart from his modern-day counterparts. Dimitri's game centers around a lethal mid-range jump shot, a relic from a bygone era that he wields with precision.

While his reliance on the mid-range game is a double-edged sword, it's impossible to deny its effectiveness. Dimitri can fill up the stat sheet with points and rebounds, using his jump shot to carve out space in the paint. However, scouts are left wondering how his game will translate to the NBA, where the pace is faster, and the expectations for big men have evolved.

Dimitri's strength and size are undeniable assets, aiding him in dominating the boards and providing a formidable interior presence on the defensive end. But the glaring concern is his lack of lateral quickness and athleticism, which make it challenging to stay in front of agile forwards. It's a hurdle he's determined to overcome as he strives for greatness.

The young Frenchman is not resting on his laurels. He's diligently working on expanding his range beyond the arc, although it's a work in progress, with a 3-point shooting average of 34% last season. Dimitri knows that versatility is key in the modern game, and he's committed to broadening his skill set.

Dimitri Fofana draws comparisons to NBA All-Stars Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Antawn Jamison. Like these legends, Dimitri possesses a unique blend of size and scoring ability that can't be ignored. His journey through the Euroleague is a testament to the power of determination and the allure of a prospect with potential.

As the basketball world watches in eager anticipation, Dimitri Fofana's story unfolds, filled with challenges and opportunities that will shape his destiny. One thing is for certain: whether it's on the hardwoods of Europe or under the bright lights of the NBA, Dimitri's journey is a captivating tale of a young talent on the cusp of something...

Cam Blackwell - A Thorn in the Duke Blue Devils' Side

Cam Blackwell, a name that once sparked excitement and anticipation, has now become a source of frustration for both fans and scouts alike. The number one prospect of 2025, Cam's transition to the collegiate level has left many questioning his ability to adapt and thrive.

The highly-touted prospect enrolled at Duke a year early, setting expectations soaring even higher. However, his freshman season has been a rollercoaster of inconsistency that has tested the patience of his teammates and coaches.

Cam's strengths are undeniable. He possesses the raw tools that make scouts drool, excelling in interior defense, rebounding, and shot-blocking. His hands are quick and sure, a valuable asset in the paint. However, these pluses are overshadowed by glaring weaknesses that threaten to derail his NBA dreams.

Shooting is perhaps Cam's Achilles' heel. His inability to connect from beyond the arc or even in the mid-range has been a source of frustration for Duke faithful. Defenders sag off him with confidence, daring him to take shots that rarely find the mark. Furthermore, his post play lacks the finesse and playmaking ability expected of a top prospect.

Scouts are left wondering about Cam's heart and passion for the game. His struggles on the court have raised questions about his dedication and love for basketball. It's as if the weight of expectations and the rigors of the game have sapped his enthusiasm, leaving him as a mere shell of the player he was projected to be.

The comparisons drawn for Cam Blackwell are far from flattering. He's seen as the second coming of Theo Ratliff and Tyson Chandler, both solid NBA players known for their defensive prowess but also their limitations on the offensive end. It's a reminder of the uphill battle Cam faces in carving out a niche in the NBA.

In a league that demands versatility and the ability to stretch the floor, Cam's limitations are a significant liability. The basketball world watches with bated breath, wondering if he can turn things around and rediscover the promise that made him the number one prospect in the first place.

For now, Cam Blackwell is a cautionary tale, a reminder that potential and talent alone do not guarantee success in the unforgiving world of professional basketball. His journey is fraught with challenges, and it remains to be seen whether he can rise above the doubts and rediscover the fire that once burned so brightly within him.
