Was great to see some uncut gameplay, can finally make an informed decision. I can see the changes that were made and I always appreciate Martial's work. Unfortunately it's a hard pass from me but I hope everyone else has a good time.
And yeah, absolute shame that alberto got chased off by the idiocy of a few people. Gateway to the same kind of BS that got the old pre-OS forum closed.

Just to be clear: you're talking about the EA suits in charge, or...?

Because all people here have done is talk sense. If he allies himself with "the devil" he needs to be prepared for the heat. EA's community managers are trained on how to be nice and respectful (to the point that it becomes cheesy). He is obviously lacking those skills. And why assume he's gone? People don't always post here on a weekly basis. It's very quiet regarding the game so not much to talk about.

I like seeing these guys play each other… but seeing two higher level guys who aren’t spamming things and playing technical fight online isn’t really an accurate representation of what a typical online player experiences.

Thats why i play offline against the AI it feels more realistic as most online players fight the same with whatever fighter they choose

Dude same… I’m prepping my universe mode as we speak lol. I wish they would do a deep dive for offline modes and new simulation mode

Isn't there like a game modes deep dive coming soon?

I’m not sure. I thought there was supposed to be but also the game comes out in 2 weeks haha. But I doubt they will touch on simulation mode. Probably just online career mostly and maybe offline career. I’d be so happy to be wrong though

its so annoying see how when the fight goes to the ground the main objective to get an advantage is to deny, those 2 are playing to show the gameplay so its more dynamic but in a real ranked match its just about stall and deny

Yeah... You don't want to scare your main audience away.

My fear is that they just refreshed the beginning of career mode (read: first 5 fights) and from then on it's the exact same thing. Makes sense, as "casuals" just play the first hour and then quit. They probably read that in their "metrics".

It's true that it's been very quiet about the game. I'd presume EA would go all-in on marketing but so far we've gotten a big nothingburger. Then again, if the game just doesn't offer much, there isn't much to show isn't there?

i dont like how they bring up the fact that "well i tried to sub him in round 1, so then now im almost guaranteed to finish that sub in round 5 because it somehow stacks" like wtf? What is this accumulation sub system? What happened to fluid submissions? Are they just place holders until you spam enough of them for the sub bar to decrease before you can actually sub someone? I know you can sub someone the first try, but they would have to literally not defend it at all....I dont like hearing this about that system at all, sounds super cringe.

Also as a side note, the freaking stamina is at an all time worst, this thing doesnt decrease no matter what.

It seems like to me the sub system is similar to any transition. You can sub someone on one go if you deny enough to drain stamina and then attempt it, or if you attempt it late in the fight when they have super low stamina it might be automatic. I don’t know that it accumulates but it’s way easier if they have no stamina or don’t know what they are doing

Well, it does accumulate progress. But it’s not from attempts, but from locked in subs, which is a 2 step process in itself, with multiple ways to counter, escape, deny etc.

So on one I get what’s being said, why does a 3rd successful sub in the 5th automatically get a W just because you had 2 earlier. But on the other hand, if you allow 3 completed subs, it should be GGs for you

Hey Steve, you modified the text in my OP lol

What I said is I'm sorry "Alberto" isn't posting anymore, he plays devil's advocate by giving EA's perspective but he's an ally of the "hardcore community".

Anyway I'm gonna skip this iteration because I don't have a PS5, not because it looks bad although some areas look too similar to 4.

For UFC 6 we gonna need more fighters uniqueness, what they did with Dominic Cruz was great, they need to expand it on all top fighters (current/old). Rampage guarded hooks, Jon Jones weird lunging straight, Strickland unique posture etc
