Madden06/12 2023-24 Rosters PS2

Hi all.

Before I begin, I just found out that PCOL is the id for College that players came from and I recognized that I need to adjust a few players numbers to be correct. I may fix that later, but figured I'd get this out there in case anyone wants this.

I found a fairly up to date roster file from jynx on footballidiot.com and decided to use it to update Madden06 roster and franchise, and while i was at it I also did a Franchise file for Madden12. Learned a lot, enjoying playing this and figured I'd share it with the community. Enjoy.

No feedback on this thus far so I'm assuming it isn't popular, but I went ahead and cleaned up the rosters for Madden06. Every player on every roster is a current member of the team and I believe all teams have at least current starters. Lots of injuries this year, i didnt add anyone to the injury table, figured you can move players around if you like, but as a Colts fan (or worse yet if you are a Jets fan lol) I'd like to play as the team that I wish I had this year . But this version of files has up to date colleges and several other attributes I wasn't aware of until now.

Anyway, enjoy let me know what you think if anyone plays Madden06. Also in the Roster file I added a few Madden cover names to Free Agency to make it more fun. If people like these then I'll share a Madden12 version next and will likely do an up to date one as well next season as this was fun. Enjoy.

Don't give up, you are doing a good job filling mwolfes void. I will see I will have time to test the rosters in superstar and franchise. If they don't work, I will port them to the template.dat of the madden 06 iso. Again, Great work.

I converted the psu file to psv and transferred it to my ps3 but it's saying it's corrupted

These are PS2 rosters. They were tested in PCSX2. Sorry.

Thanks a lot. Having fun seem to learn more each time I do it. Ran into a scenario with the Md12 where most teams ran out of money after year one lol so need to consider salary in next version. Playing with getting a good draft class for next year on Md 6 or 12 now. Appreciate the kind words.

I've been working on a Roster update for Madden 12 PS2 and its been a grind. Updating 2000 players, then adding the rookies takes a long time.

You saved me a lot of work!

Great rosters! Only thing is where is CB Jalen Ramsey on the Dolphins? I went to FA to check and he's not there either. I even went to every team to see if maybe he was just on the wrong team, not there either. I even went to every position to see if maybe he somehow got switched to another position. I then checked both the roster and franchise csv files that are in the files and sorted by last name and not there either.

BTW I used the FINAL file given.

Is there a program I'll need to open the unzipped files? (Similar to NHL View with NHL roster files?). Love editing PS2 Maddens.

Honestly for this roster im probably done.
Used it to learn and definitely learned about salary numbers and some other things.

Currently trying to make an all time greatest teams roster (85 Bears vs 68 Jets etc) and then a franchise file with real coaches etc. I think it will be awesome and will use Madden08 for that one likely. Hope to have that done by end of year.

This is why. It was the active roster for the beginning of the year.
He was placed on injured reserve on August 31, 2023.

I think its more than just Ramsey tho. I think its every player that was on IR before the regular season started, cause I also noticed that Cameron Latu wasn't on the 49ers roster. I tried to edit him in myself but the game freezes when starting a new franchise. Are you going to update the rosters?
