Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
Must agree with hybrid control you can fire up big slapshots and it feels good (Before with the total control setup 95 % of my shots were wristshots, sry i'm so bad with the right stick)
Body-checking now works better with the O button instead of the right stick, but i get very often a penaltie.
Also this is the best slider's set for me with little adjustments i made myself. Half-Pro it was too easy for me, and Pro felt too much difficult for me, had much struggle to score goals.
So the only thing i changed is agression CPU 95 & shooting i lowered the CPU accuracy and raised user accuracy to 60, now i have a blast in my Ranger franchise.
Just wished hybrid controls had the pass icon's or did i miss something ?Last edited by Fredette; 10-25-2023, 07:08 PM.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
Played 7 games now and I’m 4-3-0 in my Chicago franchise. Just posted my first shutout. I’m starting to get a good feel for the game now. Will post after 10 games with stats etc which may help with slider adjustments as I feel our abilities are similar.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
So I won my previous 2 games (only conceding one goal) and thought it was easier and me getting used to the sliders. This is what I love about these sliders because this happens:
Period 1 at Vegas. 2-0 down and outshot 25-3. Vegas had 4 power plays. Totally dominant. I love how it throws up different games.
Edit: Finished 4-0 to Vegas. Outshot 46-22.Last edited by sadler; 10-26-2023, 03:27 AM.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
10 games in with your sliders:
Record is 5-5-0
Results as follows:
L 4-2
W 2-1
L 4-1
W 4-3
L 2-1
W 4-1
W 3-0
L 4-0
W 4-3
L 3-1
Goals scored average 2.20 (31st in league)
Goals against average 2.50 (3rd in league)
Goalies:
Subban .929% 2.00 GAA
Talbot .886% 3.01 GAA
I’m wondering if I need to move to 6 minute periods as goals are fairly low. An extra 3 minutes per game might increase that. Shots are pretty much bang on, sometimes low 20s, the odd game in the 40s (shots per team).
Anything else you want me to check? I have a decent sample size.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
In addition my pp are 20 (so 2 per game on average) pk at 33 (just over 3 per game)
Both totals are the lowest in the league after 10 games so I’d suggest penalties need increasing (cpu more than human) to level it up slightly.
You have tripping at 95 and seen a lot of those. Slashing is at 33 and not seen one, maybe that could be somewhere to pop an increase in. Elbowing is 80 and seen plenty of those as well. Boarding, charging, hooking and charging are high and I’ve seen those. Holding is at 80 and seen none. Could be another place to increase.Last edited by sadler; 10-26-2023, 12:29 PM.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
Ok didn’t like 6 minutes, too many shots. The answers were in my previous post!!
Shots were spot on at 5 minutes so need to leave it at that. Goals were a little low but so were PP and PK. That’s where the extra goals will come from if penalties can be increased. High stick and holding are none existent. Just seen a slash even though you have them at a low value.Last edited by sadler; 10-26-2023, 01:11 PM.Comment

I look at SOG like plays ran in Madden. If those are good, then just adjust from there for the smaller things in gameplay.
It's weird you get so few penalties. I am getting between 5-12 penalties a lot. I did have tripping up to 99. Raising it to 96 or 97 would get you more of those.
I've seen one high sticking and I was shocked. Holding at 80 I will definitely raise from your feedback and my experience. Penalties are finicky however, so raising by just 1 point can make all the difference. Adjust to your needs.

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
Awesome! Thanks for the excellent feedback. I agree that 5 minutes is best. However 6min could work if you lowered penalty time scaling to 3, or maybe even 2. The SOG would be lowered, but at the risk of too low PP%.

Definitely set on 5 minutes now. Seeing very good totals on shots. One thing I’m loving is that you can tell when you play the good teams. Just lost 4-1 in Tampa and outshot heavily. Same happened in Vegas where I lost 4-0.Comment

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
The game is a blast. Testing higher penalties in a game now. The AI is very good. PP for Washington and immediately set up Ovechkin for a one timer on the left side just like real life. He proceeds to slap it through for the goal.
First period over, and a tripping penalty for both teams so far.

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
I think we gotta raise cpu penalties higher than the user. They went 4 of 5, which is crazy. But they got the goals pretty quick into each PP. Like first or second possession fast.
For my five penalties, I had three tripping, one holding, and one slashing penalty
Oh, for this game, I moved slashing up to 34 (+1) and holding to 83 (+3).
Thinking raise holding up to 90/85. Slashing to 45/35. Hooking penalty up to 98 for both. And tripping to 100/95, only raising cpu +5 and leaving the user at 95.
I can't play until maybe Saturday night, but will get more time on Sunday and Monday.

Re: NHL 24 PRO difficulty sliders
Played 2 more games.
Lost 3-2 in OT
Lost 3-2
Both games had an even amount of shots. Tripping is quite a common penalty so I’d be reluctant to make it higher. Definitely need increases in holding (not seen any).
I think the issue is that the AI will take penalties evenly for both teams but you (as the human) will take some yourself. This causes the imbalance I think because for the human teams it’s AI and HUMAN taking penalties whereas the AI just has itself.Comment
