Re: 3/4 defense bug
Between this and the blocking on toss plays in the training drills among other things, it's clear EA either does not test and play their own games or simply does not care about the lack of quality in so many areas.

Re: 3/4 defense bug
For the Lions I try to understand because in real life they have 4-3 personnel, but when they occasionally are in base its a 3-4 look. But, it happening with the Dolphins makes no sense. I think they tried to implement it for teams like the Lions, but it now is just a bug that won't get fixed most likelyComment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
Yeah, you have to go to every 3-4 teams depth chart and make the RE1 as DT1,DT1 as DT2 but you shouldn't have to still jump through these hoops because it's been this way for the 4 months it's been out now.what is the reason they haven’t fixed this yet, i take dolphins and wilkins is lined up at outside linebacker, same with detroit and hutchinson.

Re: 3/4 defense bug
The running back drill annoys me to no end because of how bad your fullback is on this drill. The sad thing is it was working when the game first came out, and then after a few weeks it started to get badComment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
Funnily enough I've noticed Wilkins lining up outside quite a bit for the Dolphins.Comment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
I figured why some 3-4 DEs are lining up at OLB. It's using the Rush End depth chart to overtake the base depth chart. Make sure Wilkins isn't your rush end and then use the RE at DT1, DT1 at DT2, and DT2 at DT3 workaroundwhat is the reason they haven’t fixed this yet, i take dolphins and wilkins is lined up at outside linebacker, same with detroit and hutchinson.

Re: 3/4 defense bug
Are the positions flipping to strength? Like say the RE is the weak side DE, DT2 as strong side DE, and DT1 as the NT?
Sorry, don't have '24 to check, just thought that'd actually be kinda cool to finally have in the game. And would be perfect for the Lions 3-4/2-4-5 scheme and other teams in the Vic Fangio scheme.Comment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
No, its more complex then that in my opinion. For a team like the Lions that runs a 3-4 but there front 7 is listed like a 4-3, there 3-4 package is set automatically like it is using the 4-3 personnel package but with the ROLB being the Nickel RE it seems. Then for actual 3-4 teams like the Steelers they have Watt and Highsmith as there OLB, but there interior defensive are DT1, DT2, and LE1. Its like the bug happened by changing how the 3-4 is set up for teams like the Lions it in turn messed with the traditional 3-4 setup for actual 3-4 teamsAre the positions flipping to strength? Re: 3/4 defense bug
So an odd thing I just discovered. I created a 3-4 defensive playbook to use with my 1984 roster. When I use that playbook, the 3-4 glitch is no longer a problem.
Not sure how or why it makes a difference that it is a custom playbook.Comment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
You need to use a custom playbook, not a generic one. Again, don't know why, but the playbook I made for use with 80s style play, the glitch did not occur. I have tried it a couple of times now.
Unfortunately, this does not help with CPU teams since in franchise you can not give the CPU a custom playbook. That is without a crazy work around.Comment

Re: 3/4 defense bug
I’m not too familiar with this bug since I run a 4-3 but i played a game against the Packers the other day and I was seeing Kenny Clark lined up at OLB dropping in to coverage so I’m assuming that was due to this bugComment
