Crossing my fingers for Larry Legend to finally put together a full season so he can come away with that Heisman. Good to see this back, Helli.Comment

Hellisan,
Iowa is in need of an OC and perhaps a new HC.

Re: The Career of J.D. Clark (NCAA 14)
Man, another thing that had me really thinking about this was how little I seem to care about college football anymore, and how this could be a nice escape in the college football realm that I miss, but not enough to tune in on television. So many things have happened to chip away at the fun (at least for me), with the implosion of the Pac 12 being the kicker, that I picked up my Phil Steele and just stared at it for about half an hour and then put it in the magazine pile. I haven't watched a single game this year. Just an old grump I guess.
.... And this is when I remember that I played three games at some point while keeping little in the way of notes. Let me just knock out some quick updates, I've put a bunch of info about the team into Chat GPT and may have it write the stories in the voice of Hunter S. Thompson, just for fun.Last edited by Hellisan; 12-30-2023, 01:19 AM.Comment

A 24 point second quarter nearly did you in. That's a huge quarter!?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.

Re: 2023 - Week 7 - #3 Iowa at Penn State
I know man, at the time it was crazy watching us lose two fumbles on essentially back to back plays and not only that, but fail to salvage anything, like holding them to a field goal or anything. Then, the fourth quarter comes around, and one kid saves the day for everybody.
State of the Dynasty Well like a few others I've seen lately I got the itch and honestly, I hope we all stick around, I can't wait to see what happens with a new Cheese dynasty if that comes to fruition, and catch up on others. I forgot how much I loved doing this, it ended up taking several hours of trouble shooting, testing, wire replacement, HDMI splitter replacement, and figuring out how to use my setup with my newer Roku TV in my office which didn't seem to like Xbox 360 too much. But now I think I've got it.
After posting the three games I played randomly that didn't have reports I'm essentially caught up. Hope to screw around some more tonight and then hopefully spend a little time each night puttering around with it, just refamiliarizing myself with this whole thing. Another thanks to EA and specifically the personnel that worked on NCAA 14. A generally soulless company made something that's so special to so many of us. It's like the Seahawks and Pete Carroll. He won us a Super Bowl, so I can't just throw the man to the wolves despite the poor results. Thank you EA.Last edited by Hellisan; 01-01-2024, 11:26 PM.Comment

Really glad to have you back, Helli, and glad to see Iowa string together three more wins. What a performance by your freshman corner in Happy Valley - even if Penn State is down, snagging a trio of interceptions in that environment is quite the accomplishment.Comment
