Whether his sources are legit or not, this release date is about what was expected. We knew it would be out a month or more before Madden, and the old games always released around that time, so it's a safe bet.

The documentation EA sent to the schools also points towards this window of release.

EA employee saying not confirmed. Not surprising, but I think we can safely expect it around that window. I'd love for them to surprise us and do earlier.

To be fair, this still could be a legitimate leak. Someone on EA’s team might have a big mouth and might have accidentally let it slip without permission.

But after the NCG, I’m still going to take it with a grain of salt

- side note, I wonder if they'll be looking for people to beta test. that could probaby take place late may or in june.

I've always operated under the notion that it would be July 12th. EA likely wants consumers to have some "breathing room" between CFB and Madden release dates.

I don't care if it's released in July of 2025 (or 26 even)...as long as EA doesn't screw the game up.

I REALLY REALLY hope that the college game is worth playing, I don't expect perfection mind you, but PLEASE for the Love of the College Football Gods, please don't have any half baked, half assed ideas that are poorly implemented or just flat out broke (looking at you MADDEN).

Also, please don't have any game breaking bugs (corrupted saves for example).

Oh yeah, and another "wish list" thing would be that the "SUITS" let the developers actually do thier job and not "shove" the game out the door when it's not ready.

Please please EA, don't screw this franchise up!!

It's got me hyped. I know they're rebuilding everything and want a lot of separation between this and madden, but honestly if you gave me a reskin of madden with similar gameplay but it's got a working dynasty mode I'll be hooked for a long time. I don't even care if scouting is a straight copy/paste from what we've got in m24. This is an easy day 1 purchase as long as things are working well... especially in july when there's never anything to play.

They have been working on this game for years, I highly doubt its a copy/paste job. NCAA 14 felt different than Madden of that year. They have the opportunity to be different, which is what I believe they will deliver.

NCAA was never a copy and paste job from Madden, so this idea that I keep seeing makes no sense. I guess it's just general distrust of EA is all..

A more likely gripe is going to be what is missing from the first edition of the game, will it be robust with a lot of features or is it going to be very basic?

Personally I hope the game does really well which leads to a College Basketball game. I think it will and I think as soon as the numbers come out it will lead to the inevitable Hoops game. Just a question of if 2k will do it or EA. I don't see both doing it but who knows.

2k obviously has the skeleton in place and could get something out sooner.

At least that's what I am hoping for.

At this point I feel like I'll be getting this game and skipping Madden next year or at the very least waiting until the price drop like I did this year.
