Franchise Stars Football League Kicks Off Tonight @ 8 PM

My Franchise Stars Football League project created for Madden 24 kicks off tonight @ 8 PM as the Lions head to Kansas City to face the Chiefs.

The FSFL project includes:

1600 players from 1960-present, created by me and rated using my ratings formulas

Each franchise has a master pool of 130 players from their history
50 of those were selected via random generator for year 1
The remaining 80 will enter via future draft classes
Coach profiles and playbooks were developed using Game Plan data for coaches from the Action PC Football game
The franchise coach pool functions like the player pool, with coaches who took a franchise to the playoffs among the eligible coaches to be selected. The more successful coaches had a better chance to be chosen for Year 1.
There will be free agency, trades, firings, etc.

The format is very similar to my popular Franchise Stars Baseball League project for MLB The Show.

I don't control a team, but let it all run through a hybrid of CPU vs CPU and quick sim

I broadcast games on my YouTube channel...I don't just talk over the game, but actually call the game (I went to college for broadcasting before I ended up in print journalism instead).

Really great concept. My brother and I are doing a GM only league where we watch the games broadcast mode and let the CPU vs CPU battle it out.



The older I get - the more I like to manage stuff and see how it all plays out. No need to keep up with the cheese plays and glitches. The game is more pure this way.

Thanks! I'm a lover of sports history so my favorite thing is creating rosters bringing eras together and playing them out. I broadcast the games and just watch it all unfold. If I play to control anything it's just on my own, I don't stream any of that. But my sports universe projects I create are like my sports Minecraft...it's the sports world I want.

Takes a lot of work to get things where I want them, especially in this case with the flaws in the Madden model, but when it gets there it's really rewarding.
