Player likeness and ratings
With the new game coming out and players opting in, I wonder how their ratings are determined and how opt ins are going to affect the game going forward. How much input are the players going to have on their ratings? Are QBs going to demand that their throwing power be a 95? It reminds me of when my buddy played college football in the 90s. He was an all conference center for a MAC school. Signed onto a NFL team. His likeness was the same #, height, and weight) but he was always salty that they had his intelligence/awareness pretty low. He loved being "in the game", but when playing against him we always gave him a ton of **** about how stupid he was lol. Never once did he want to be paid for being in it, he just though it was cool to kinda be in it.

Re: Player likeness and ratings
For anyone that EA Sports has NIL rights to use, I would anticipate that their EASCFB ratings team would lean on Pro Football Focus quite a bit, as they have been known to do with Madden.
Probably even moreso now, as EA Sports only has so many public-facing "ratings adjusters" on their Madden staff, and I cannot imagine they hire a few dozen new people just to change numbers in a very large database. I have to assume there's going to be some level of automation to how the base roster is built based on downs played, counting statistics accumulated, and scouting services data. There are simply too many college football players to author to not do that. -

I think they'll handle most guys like they said they'll handle opt-outs. They said they'll base opt-outs ratings based on team playstyle and data from the past decade from guys at the position at the school. Unless its a well-known guy, I'd expect balanced ratings.
Even if they reach about 97% plus on NIL commits, I doubt they'd allow roster share or adjusting playersComment
